How does the VH4s compare to the VH4 Ventura?

One of these days I too will have a VH4. Hopefully soon.

Crimson, I typically run it the other way, I just tried it this way to see what it would sound like and see what others preferences are.

I prefer the channel volume at 12:00 and 1:00 myself. I will have to mess with the master at different levels.

Seems like it gets tighter when the Master volume is high and you adjust the channel volume to suit. For instance I set the Master volume to about 2:00 and the channel volume to 11:00 and it is very tight, but not as smooth. When I set the Master volume to 9:30-10:00 and the channel volume...

Had a quad in a Splawn Quockrod and they sounded killer while they lasted. The key is finding the right reseller to get it from. I'm sure the ones from Diezel are well scrutinized.

Trying to get one from GC but there are no US distributors. I get it through them cause I can do one year same as cash. Really want the VH4.

How does channel 3 on a VH4 sound compared to the Einstein lead channel? Assuming you have tried it.

Thanks for the talk down from the ledge, but I'm still heavily leaning toward getting a new VH4. If that doesn't work out I'll sick with the used Einstein. :)

Fair enough. Don't settle for a 2x12 if can help it. I know money is an issue. I'm contemplating a VH4 over my used Einstein. A 4x12 will make you much happier. Best wishes.

Works fine just trying to justify the value, but I'm probably getting a new VH4. It's hard giving up the extra cash ya know. One of those you cant see it but you know i'ts there things.

As far as I know all of the Mesa 2x12 are the same with the exception of the vertical cabs and the 3/4 closedback cabs. I think that GC has a used Diezel 4x12 used at one of their locations for $499. Not sure which store but check it out.

Sorry Peter is this normal or am i being picky? I have zero experience with Diezel amps and what to expect, there are no dealers in Washington that have them and I know no one who has had one to get any reflections as to what is and isn't normal new or used. It's in all of the seams. Best...

Upon opening up this used Einstein I noticed Rust in the seams on both sides of the chassis otherwise the amp looks like new. What do you guys think? You can click on the pic to enlarge it to see better. Does this happen in shipping? I see no external signs of poor storage.

I'm running an Einstein with a Mesa V30 loaded Traditional straight front cab and it sounds killer. In my opinion the Recto cabs sound too boomy.
