Only picks I'll use these days. Only picks I haven't lost, for that matter. They've done wonders for my playing... I go for the larger, rounder styles though (my favorite pick being the Diamond).

Expect a much warmer and more direct midrange than Alder. Depending on the thickness of the body (I've seen a lot of different styles; just because it's Strat or Super Strat shape doesn't mean it's not thick or thin), you'll be closer or further from that Les Paul sound.
I'd say that I...
I stand corrected. My point is that you're not physically "stealing" something. You're committing copyright infringement. There's a big difference as far as the law is concerned.
I don't think folks will stop recording. Hell, my band is going to record soon. Do I expect explosive album...
+1 on the NOS Raytheon Black Plate. Seriously, biggest sleeper tube out there. If you want high gain with detail and clarity you've never heard before, go for a Raytheon Black Plate. Not sure if I'd recommend them in super bright amps, of course, because the high-end is so detailed. But you...
Guys, please stop using the word "stealing". Because, by definition, downloading music is NOT stealing. It is copyright infringement.
You cannot prove that the person who downloaded the music was actually going to buy the album. Therefore, it is NOT a lost sale. In fact, it's possible that...
What's the US price on the GSC-3 and where can I get one? That's exactly the kind of switcher I've been searching for; something floor based I can stick on my pedalboard so I don't have to go the rack route.

Bump for the Wednesday crowd!
Interestingly enough, I was reflecting on my band over the course of 2009, and I realized that I've written more original material in that whole year than any other year of my life. I don't know what got into me, but I like it :D
I have the regular BB and I don't know what you guys are talking about with it being compressed? I don't find it compressed at all... but I run mine as a clean boost with the gain very low, so that might be why. Just sounds like more gain on my gain channel, and a nice Plexi-style overdrive...
Nope, it's the guitar G&L made for me after Oklahoma Vintage Guitar sold me a NAMM one-off that was so rushed from the factory that it looked worse than some Korean junker guitars. Of course, it was being sold as "new" and said nothing about it being a NAMM guitar, nor did the pictures show ANY...
Seriously, I can't emphasize enough how much more lucid I feel when I'm jamming or playing in front of a crowd. Sometimes I feel like people take the things they love for granted... So throw down your appreciation, anecdotes, crazy band stories, awesome moments of inspiration here...
I have the RV-7 and I think it's a great pedal. Lot of versatility to the reverbs, no digital suckitude like some other reverb pedals out there, and the 'verbs tail if you set it to buffered mode (which really has no tonal difference compared to true bypass from what my ears can tell)...
I choose my wording poorly. What I meant is that I'm glad they didn't continue the two-tone thing with the Armageddon. Honestly, I think they'd catch more eyes if they ditched that lame color scheme. It doesn't match the tone of the amps at all
