    Anyone here used a 5150III 50w and JVM410H? Thoughts?

Yeah, I know you can turn the gain down. And I love the amp. Just an itch too really.

    Anyone here used a 5150III 50w and JVM410H? Thoughts?

I really like the EVH but I need more lower/mid gain inbetween type tones and rock kinda gain than I need ch3. It's great for some leads but it's also a bit scooped and modern. The JVM is basically the same thing at a slightly different speed though isn't it? Excels at similar things to the EVH...

    Anyone here used a 5150III 50w and JVM410H? Thoughts?

Still tempted by a JVM despite playing them and occasionally finding them great and occasionally a bit meh and thin. Thinking it could have been the cab last time I used one though. JVM is a better choice for the clean/crunch type thing, right? Has anybody else experienced them sounding thin...

NGD! Fender Custom Shop NOS '56 Strat

Yes! The guy I got it from had the new-ish YJM Fury pickups in it which I cannot recommend in the slightest. Absolute dogshit. Had some Texas Specials (which I do really like, say what you will...) and a Duncan '59 laying around so I put them in. What a great guitar! I may eventually switch to...

NAD! (Bogner XTC & custom footswitch content)

Is that a new footswitch design? I'm sure mine had "Loop" and "Standby" options?

    Celestion EVH Greenbacks

Where did you hear that? They're relabelled heritage G12Ms?

    This is very wrong.

AxeFX II software version 7 clip

So with each update the tone apparently sounds better? I thought it sounded "just like an amp" when the first Axe clips ever surfaced!? ;)

So I'm running two Heritage G12Ms with a 50w head...

Absolutely do. I'm not in any way refuting your opinion dude, in fact, I'm very thankful that you've taken the time as I honestly had a only a very basic knowledge of speakers as I've always bought pre-loaded cabs. I don't *think*, based on what I've read from all sides, that I'm going to...

    EVH 4X12 Cabinets

They will sound way different, G12H30s and G12M25/G12EVHs are very different speakers.

So I'm running two Heritage G12Ms with a 50w head...

I'm gonna just stick with it and see. Howard Kaplan, who designed the amp, seems to think they'll be alright as long as I'm not pumping insane - maxed out - volume through them continuously.

Friedman 4x12 with Greenbacks and V30s

Thanks for the reply Brad. So it's a 100w cab?

    Luxxtone S Style insanity.

    Wow!

Friedman 4x12 with Greenbacks and V30s

Is that 4x12 rated at 100w because of the 25w GBs? Any issues running that with a 100w head?

So I'm running two Heritage G12Ms with a 50w head...

This would all mean that the matching EVH 4x12 is underrated for the 100w head too, right?

So I'm running two Heritage G12Ms with a 50w head...

Tone controls above 1:00 yes. Gain is above 1:00 on the blue from time to time. Master volume never goes above 5-6 and rarely above 4. That kinda stage volume is generally inhospitable!

EVH5150 III 50w Blue channel really is amazing!

I've been using the Blue as pretty much just a 'crunch' since I got it, gain on about 3, to keep the cleans cleaner too. Think I'll use it as my main high gain and lead sound over the next few weeks and see how I get on. I've put a volume pedal on the M13 with the level docked a bit infront of...

EVH5150 III 50w Blue channel really is amazing!

They had to have been trying to make it Marshally, right? It's a big fat hot-rodded Marshall tone with 6L6s...

EVH5150 III 50w Blue channel really is amazing!

The red is cool and all but I find it a bit scooped for some stuff. The Blue channel on the other hand is just amazing. What a tone!

    luxxtone or suhr?

Having owned three Suhrs I'd probably go for the Luxxtone. Just has the vibe I"m after, especially the HSS Strat! Just curious, the vid with Phil X playing the Luxxtone in the Friedman vid... is that trem set floating or decked with 5 springs?
