I have all you listed but the Reaper 50.
I bought a Vet30 and Retro30 back sometime just to try. I was please with both.
Here's noodling with both in a Mesa 2x12, tracked at the same time. Amp is a 5150.

Retro 30
My schedule opens up the last week in June and the 1st week in July.
Hi Dan, we're starting a Blues band with most of my old bandmates. Missing a Bass player ATM but I think Monday a guy's coming over. We'll see.
Right now I've got my 2x12's loaded with t75-v30, vet30-retro30 and V30-et65. Also, I have some Govnrs and MOW (and others) sitting on the shelf we...
I have an OCD but I have no experience with BB. The OCD has a HP/LP filter switch, whereas the GR is adjustable. It's hard to describe difference between the OCD and GR. The OCD may be a bit stronger in the mids. The Rhino's ability to adjust the top and bottom is nice. Actually the GRhine...
Maxon OD808 is hard to beat in this situation. Instead of more "raw and gritty" I'd say more "bite"
The 808 will definitely do the bottom right.
Another is the Green Rhino. The bottom and top are adjustable and it sounds very good.
How about hooking up an amp for the feedback path and post another. It may take a bit to get it right, but I believe it will take the recorded tone to another level.
Sustain is a positive feedback loop. When the Guitar's signal and amp-speaker output vibrate in sympathy. Amps with low IMD (Intermodulation distortion) will generally produce clear and rich harmonic feedback. Low IMD amps also produce clear sounding chords.
It's not my experience that it...

contact Peavey and ask for a replacement. I've fixed this issue on $3K+ amps. Also, check the PCB post for possible pitting.
I have early 80's Greenbacks in a straight Splawn 4x12 that sounds absolutely glorious. I've had these speakers in many different cabs, and they've found a home in the Splawn.
Looking back I can't believe my parents let me go. It was awesome. There was nothing like them at the time.
I remember one Saturday night Black Sabbath was to be on a TV show In Concert. The video had this late 60's psychedelic flowery background... it was fantastic.
I wish we had spent more time on the clean channel.. maybe later.
Several weeks ago he brought over a Single Channel PRS. It was Ok but I didn't really bond with it.
A friend brought over his PRS 2 Channel H amp 50W. Really nice amp.
Here's some pics and a short clip on the Lead channel with my 67 Melody Maker (SD Stacked Tele-PUP) and drivin' a 4x12 GB loaded cab.
