I talked with Chris. He DID NOT want his posts removed. He agreed that he should move on and have his account deactivated. He DID NOT REQUEST or have any idea that ALL HIS POSTS FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS would be eradicted.
Only modeller I liked was the Peavey BAM210.....
Have not tried the Ax, no desire to do so. Just geeky electronics & computer driven curiosity is all.
A big difference is going to be the saddle height off the top of the body. Strat bridge sits a lot lower than the Floyd, that can effect how you play.
My preference would be the Charvel. I love Floyds and hate the location of the Strat vol pot.
17k on my $30.00 Logitech speakers, but not on my Bose headphones??!?
I pop in earplugs when the monitors or cymbals actually cause pain, but I've only been doing that a couple years. I usually wake up the next morning from practice with my head still ringing, so I guess I'm fortunate.
Got one and love it. Unexpected benefit was the buffer input. The straight through input works great w/10' guitar cable in / 10' out of board to amp.
On longer cable runs the buffer is really, really good, and obviously you are still running a buffer when all your other pedals are bypassed.
July 11 in Phoenix - Just in time for Monsoon Season!!
110's, 90% humidity, dust storms.....you'll love it! Tighten up your truss rod nut, you'll be fine! ;)
Umm...
Maybe YOU should read the OP, the whole thread, and my previous posts describing how I've seen this system used, before jumping all over me and assuming I'm talking about you....when I was actually paying you a compliment because you are using the system correctly.
Thanks poophead. :D
There you have it. This guy uses it as his FRFR amp coming out of his***** modeller. Two columns, either side of the drum stage. Mix your monitors and mains around that!
We've got a Bose monitor system, the whole deal with the controller, on a difficult stage to monitor, hard back wall and low ceiling. Sounds great, but sucks if you are on the sides of the stage where they are 'cause you about get your head blowed off....
The best home audio...
All I'm saying is, it's a bear for the sound crew. Most venues with a decent PA system and monitors that actually have been sorta engineered for the room are just not into having a guitar player show up with something so different that is going to require a complete re-engineering of the system...
I know a guy who uses this system (with a certain modeller which shall remain unnamed) live for guitar with a band, when I'm working the sound crew and this group is scheduled we all cringe. Totally messes up the stage monitor mix, washes off the stage into the first 10 rows, just this weird...
