Hello all,
Went to replace the 1/4 jack on my cabinet due to the old one looking a bit rough due to the previous wiring from the factory (They had a built in attenuator installed that was always slightly in the circuit that I had to remove).
Was just going to buy one when I thought about the...
If you want to bump that tone up even more....if it has the stock mallory caps, swapping them for almost any other cap will really open up the lower midrange. - Some nice PIO .015 for the neck and a .022 for the bridge would do the trick 100%. It's just those yellow Mallory caps always do...
I have a set of Silo pickups. They are fun. Definitely have a very distinct sound. I have had them in this guitar for quite some time now but am toying with the idea of swapping them.
What's wild is that I got the guitar for such a steal and the pickup prices have went up so much that they are...
I am also personally a fan of the bird inlays, but the Crescent inlays are cool too for sure.
With the extra made from the flip, I am only into this guitar for like $1200.
Again, the previous guitar was bought as a type of investment/flip, so the aim of this one was to get a solid deal and...
From all of the research I have done, the 2000 McCarty should be finished in Nitro.
Bird inlays of that caliber would actually possibly look cool, unlike the dragon inlay guitars they do.
Neat that this one has the Crescent inlays.
Stainless steel frets upgrade is a huge bonus in that I can...
Nah, not at all.
I am the high maintenance one.
She's as humble and down to earth as the soil man.
She quite literally hates to shop, can't make her buy clothes or shoes or anything really at all.
Natural beauty too, so she hardly even uses makeup.
Can't remember when she last had her...
An odd title for a gear forum, I know, but it fits.
I am not trying to make a big deal over nothing but I think my wife just did one of the coolest things, which helped me to grow in a neat way as well.
Saw a used guitar come up. One of those Carvin Classical electric guitars with an...
What is funny is that in all of my years on/off as a studio guitarist, I am not certain I have really any of the music I worked on.
I can find a track or two on the internet maybe but the music genre I primarily would add guitar work to - the guitar is not the focus, if that makes sense.
Even...
Same.
I actively dodge the OTC unless I am in a very specific mood and completely understand I may read things so absolutely stupid that they enrage me.
OTC is one of the things I actually love about RT.
I seriously cannot find forums this open anywhere else on the internet tbh.
I get good vibes from Dave, like he is a straight shooter.
I also think some of the Friedman amps sound great, though I've never had the pleasure of playing one in person.

The only pics I currently have are from requesting to see any damage marks on the guitar. Made sure the headstock and serial looked proper and there was the little "10" written. Will be sure to update the thread once it arrives. Tracking shows this Friday....Fingers crossed!
