no offense meant what so ever but where did you hear that?

I asked a question a few days ago about similar pickups to the Aldrich, but I think it would help my search if I understood the Aldrich better. can anyone tell me what type of magnet is in there? I keep getting suggestions for Alnico II, III, V, VIII pickups and I don't know the difference. HALP!

so the general consensus has been that the JB is the closest pickup to the Aldrich....sounds like I've got my pickup. Thanks guys.

I've heard that before (Dime was an owner) but I can't seem to find any proof backing it up...nothing trying to hi jack the thread nor am I trying to start a flame war, but just curious if someone could show proof?

using a pedal for distortion in to a non clean amp will give you nothing but feedback. use it on the clean channel!

you can put either in LPs. I have a 50 in mine...I've got a buddy with a 53. It's just like F-Spaced vs Non F-Spaced completely cosmetic so that your strings line up with pole pieces.

yeah I would like to add that the FX are great. so if you are using it 4 cable method and not really using the amp sims all that much - the clean ones are pretty good I will admit - it's a great buy.

I got a GSP1101 recently....but I really don't feel like the sims are good enough for live use...adding some custom IRs (Redwirez in my case) really helped a LOT but it wasn't quite there yet. that said for direct recording I think it's great.

EBMM and Ibanez are the only brands I would recommend.
