Just had a view on the Humanity DVD and in the back theres a VH4, do they use them only in the studio? Now I now why I really like the guitar sound on this CD. ;)

Before I got my Einstein combo I A/B it with a lot of other combos, also a F30. The Einstein blew them all away. Its a complete other league in terms of clearity and variety. Of course this was a 30W against a 50W but also compared to Engl combos and larger mesas like the lonestar Eini has much...

Anybody use or tried this unit? I'm looking for a nice distortion pedal which delivers many different sound options, from clean boost and vintage stuff to more modern gain. This seems to cover a lot of different sounds. As I don't have the opportunity to test it before buying I would like to...

Yes, same experience. :lol: :LOL: From time to time I watch myself looking for some new preamps or stomp boxes. Realizing it, I instantly let my Einstein blow all this stupid GAS thoughts away. And I'll be sure again I don't need nothing to improve my sound or add more flexibility :rock:

go with the Einstein. It delivers exactly the sounds you mentioned, I don't think there's a need to pick up the Marshall.

I also have a kind of old PRS, a 1987 with vintage pickups. I'm thinking also of a replacement with Haeussels. How would you describe the change in tone?

My setup is also rather minimalist. Most of the time a PRS Custom 24 - Korg DT 10 Tuner - Dunlop Wah - Einstein Combo - parallel loop: Akai Headrush E2 Recently I sometimes use a Boss Blues Driver as Clean Boost. Thats it. But sound great!
