I read a post somewhere a dude fixed his squeal issues with a piece of electrical tape on the underside of the cover. Haven't needed to try it yet though.
Sounds good SFW
I think what Nik meant was to adapt an IC socket in there. They are 8-pin. So maybe hang the other 2 off the board or cut them off.
You could mock it up in an old pedal box. Clamp it nice and close on the chassis and fly some leads in there with clips.
I wonder if parallel clippers would sound...
I thought the EMG's had the best sounding sustained chords. Dipthong effect. Learned a new big word from watching too much of the Doug and Pat show on YT. :D
Best lead sound was the WCR.
Yeah man, use it. I had some laughable PC's running excellent with a shitload of plug ins. Drums VST's and IR's etc.
10 runs pretty good but I have 1 system that 10 keeps auto updating the interface driver causing it not to work. No easy settings to stop it.
Run 7 with no shame and no extra...
The hardware list. On the LP I used regular Gotoh bridge and tailpeice but used locking studs from GFS for the bridge and locking tailpiece studs from Philadelphia Luthier Supply. 50 bucks total. Gotoh keystine tuners.
Telecaster has Kluson / TonePros vintage style but with 10mm threaded...
Both guitars are already finished. I used Arm-R-Seal on the LP and Rockler's Sam Maloof Blend on the Tele. They are a mixture of oil and urethane thinned for wipe on application. Really easy and forgiving finishes. Plain Jane but foolproof.
I didn't mention before, the LP is a Honduras Mahogany...
Cool. I'm temped by the true single coils. I've been messing with the dummy coil thing on a junker Strat and haven't been successful yet. Most of my playing time is at my workbench in front of an open amp, so I've been stuck in the noiseless mindset. I'm a rock / metal guy too. I think a twangy...
Man. that sucks about Cakewalk! I thought Roland owned them? They should just release ownership or sell cheap.
That said one reason Reaper has such a good reputation is that around 10 years ago everyone was having problems with getting their UAD-1 cards or plug ins like Superior Drummer 1 to...
rstites - The quality of the parts is excellent. Customer service is really good too. Good outfit to buy from. We had a little mix up and he went out of his way to take care of me.
Thanks. Timely advice on the inserts.
Bardens seem like a solid choice. I was thinking DiMarzio Hot Area T and a Strat Area neck, Fishman Fluence, Kinmans, or the Duncan Little 59s. So that makes the choice even harder.
I'm getting close on these two kit builds from Precision Guitar Kits. I have some questions regarding the Tele.
Should I use threaded inserts for the neck and bridge?
Any pickup recommendations? I like the single coil sound but am not really too purist about it.
I don't think Jens or Bruce deliberately made any of the amps sound a certain way for an unfair comparison. They just invited some friends over and asked a few of them to bring their amp. Kind of a plug and play with some quick adjustments scenario. Both Bruce and Jens are super cool guys and...
The rack rails have 3 holes per rack space. If you cut them 1/3 or 2/3 U long, that should give you the clearance for your pedals.
I don't know the mfr. is of the ones I have. But they seem pretty bog standard.
