I have them paired with v30's in 2 different 2x12 cabs.
I absolutely love them .
For the record I have 8 4x12 cabs 4 2x12 cabs and 1 1x12 cab.
They all have different speakers , the only pair the same are the cream back v30 combo in the 2 2x12 cabs.
I guess it's all preference?
I have never...
I would find an old Kramer Focus or a charvel model 2 or 3
I think both can be had at or below the cost of those 2 new.
I think the old Japan used ones are better then the new new ones.
I do think both those look cool though.
I think they pair killer.
I dig it.
Adrian can sing pretty good.
I think the writing is good and plenty of groove.
Kotzen is an incredible player.
I do wish he would use a pick atleast for some stuff like he used to.
I read somewhere that Mark Cameron did some mods for Jon Levin ?
I stated before and am in agreement he does Dokken better then Lynch.
Lynch was my favorite player, but most of the time anymore he is pretty hit n miss.
I would not go down to bare wood.
Just scuff it enough for primer to stick , unless you are staining it ?
Orbital will work fine , just don't stay in one place too long and go even as you can.
I would start with 120, then 180, 220.
Since you want a war torn look I don't think you need to go any...
I think the old Kramer Focus guitars are great bang for the buck if you can get them in the 5-600 range.
They have original Floyd's and some came stock with SD pickup in the bridge others had Schallers.
I am primarily a strat guy, however I own a gibson v and a kramer star.
Both the v and the star are fine sitting down.
The v you just rest it on your leg in my opinion?
I will say I feel like standing v, explorer or stR are more flat then a strat style which is weird to me ?
I have seen Dooken too many times to count.
I would agree he has been done for many years.
Not many can still do it.
In his prime Don was killer IMHO.
Live lightning strikes when Don could sing was killer !
I would say Clause and Glenn Hughes are w that still kill it.
George is pretty much done...
His tone and playing are always killer.
He has incredible vibrato.
I like the stuff he did with Glenn Hughes.
His singing is not bad just not really my thing.
I wish I had some magic words, or a wand that vould heal your deep pain of loss.
I did not know Dan but certainly enjoyed his posts here and shared many common interests.
I hope you can find some comfort in knowing Dan was such a fun likeable guy that brought joy to many all over.
R.I.P. Dan
May...
The Bogner Helios does the plexi thing and much more.
I actually did a comparison next to a 71 50 watt and both the owner and me thought it was very convincing.
Mine is a 100 watt but you can run it at 45 watts as well.
