This yungblud kid to me yells a lot.. has some power but doesn't really show a ton of vocal ability. A lot of his studio stuff is very heavily produced and auto tuned so all I can conclude is people like his look. They are selling his verging on annorexic zoolander body for marketing purposes...
I actually got one straight from Bill's wife a few years back. Great crunch but it can be too much in the high's and it really is rather unforgiving for lead work so you need to be sharp ( which obviously Nuno and Dime were/are) I loved it for rythm but lead... less so.
He didn't play that great though..I'm a big Nuno fan too and I think his work with Extreme is off the charts but him playing Ozzy stuff is just "cool". He actually looked mortal.
Exactly.. he's a second rate Adam Lambert because Lambert at least, had his own flair and thing going on and although he could go fruity, he had/has a hell of a voice to back it up. He doesn't need to crotch grind to command attention.
When is the last time we cared about MTV? As for Nuno yes, rumor has it he has a custom line of his own guitars coming out. Apparently there is a website but it is a "coming soon" sort of thing. Theories are either that Washburn will build it for him as an off brand or that it could even be FU...
This Youngblud kid seems alright and he's done well with marketing but he is also so over the top he's almost like a Steel Panther " rock" star. Not even sure if he writes his own music but most of it seems like it was pretty terrible to me. He's all pouty duck lips and eye liner all the time...
Quarter Pounder rules. I loved the chopper until I got a quarter Pounder in my Demartini Pro Mod. It is the sound i had in my head. Probably going to get more for a few other axes.
"Collector's items".. I think Dunlop should release all of Randy's pedalboard and allow people to put together their own " chip pan". Now that's marketing.. sell only 1982 of them ( the year of his death) and watch the prices on that go through the roof.
I think it is solid enough as a new offering but let's be honest, we go to a Schenker show to hear the classics. I think it is good enough to play live but I'd forget it pretty quick. Such a tasty player though, might be my number 1.
I also agree that this new production style is bland because...
I'm confused because if you look at a pedal board, it's usually right to left..plug into your first pedal on the right and signal flows left out to the amp. He can't wire his wah backwards lol.. therefore it has to sit at the end even though all these online diagrams place it first which is...
So Nerd Alert, this is the vid I was talking about. They very briefly talk about him using the wah as a filter and it is pointed out in comments too. So he would have gone into the Distortion + and then into the 10 band and chorus with wah at the very end of the chain. Presumably set to where he...
This devalues the 450$ I spend on the "limited edition" but I'm game anyway, I'll pick one up. One question I have though, they mention in this video that he set the pot in his wah to fixed frequency BEFORE the MXR+ and his EQ pedal?? I don't hear that at all.
EDIT: wrong video, I just watched...
I think just doing the Friedman tweaks he mentioned in that Pete Thorn shop video a while back where they were chasing the VH thing for that video Pete did. Very basic tweaks and the rest is your hands and a pickup with decent gain. Honestly, 3 to 4 changes will get you there.
This is another good one for the sound, a bit blurry but glad we had people forward thinking in their bootlegging back in the day so we have something. I remember seeing that and instantly recognizing the lift. Randy was such a good live player, the albums are good but live is a whole other thing.
This is solid.. I have seen clips of this before but never this many tunes and never that close. You can see his face more near the end. Pretty killer. Too bad for the anti copyright dots throughout but it is awesome to have this footage . I still think there is more out there but this was a fun...
Any tips for Floyd screws? Not the posts but drilling for the screws that go right into the wood. I just picked up a drill press because my first few holes were off and one screw went in crooked..
