Hi, just to be sure not to make a mistake: I'd like to try my Einstein with a pair of 6L6, which I have in an other Amp. Can I just change the tubes without any amp-modification (of course I have to adjust bias)? Is that possible with 6CA7, KT77 as well? What about other types, KT66, KT88...

Hi, I don't understand correctly - did you put in new tubes now and they were blown out as well? Cause I had the same ptoblem with my 6550s, played them for two hours, bang, fuse blown out, smoky smell. It was a bad tube. After I changed them, it worked well. Greetings ed
