They are hard to find! Have you tried a Chase Tone Secret Preamp? I've been using it in front of my Scorpion, and it is certainly a difference maker. It also runs at 22v like the Badgerplex.

I use this also in front of my SLO...not for gain tho; just for high end boost. The gain knob is actually all the way off.

I believe that amp was all over Pyromania as well...

Well you can't have mine...but keep your head up; they generally turn up a few times a year for ~$1500 on Reverb etc.

Yeah the Ampete stuff looks to be the real deal. I'm going with a 4x4, but the 8x8 isn't that much more, so I might end up just doing that. Everything from the Ampete will go into my OX Box then twin Freidman ASMs. :thumbsup:
