Best cab company at the moment?

Port City 2x12 OS is pretty dang good. I don't see myself ever getting rid of it. V30/Creamback H combo.

Bright cap mod for Hagen Ch3?

Nolly we gotta hear this beast loud! The tones you managed to get on Periphery albums are insane so if you're saying this amp is near perfect I can't even imagine how good it is in person. What speakers are in your zilla cab?

    Horizon Devices Precision drive

I preordered, a boost with a gate built in sounds great to me. Apparently there's an Ola demo posting up later today too.

    Strymon Riverside OD pedal

It sounds pretty badass but not for the metal crowd. There was one part in the overview video where the guy gets into "modern gain" territory, even then it's 90's grunge at most.

    "Best" 2x12?

    Port City OS!

    NAD: Rhodes/KSR Ares

Wooo! Congrats on the amp. The way you described the amp is exactly how I would describe the Orthos I just got. Wonder how similar they are under the hood.

    NAD: KSR Orthos MKII!

Only ever tried the 6505 and I don't think the Orthos sounds anything like it. It's a very tight and aggressive tone but with those "feel" controls you can get it closer to a recto/6505 type tone. It has its own thing going on for sure. I'll try to post up a high gain clip later this week.

    NAD: KSR Orthos MKII!

Thanks guys! I'll post up some high gain stuff sometime next week, cab is at the church. And yes it's 100 watts maddnotez. The two knobs are the new "feel" control. " The "Feel" control is a 6 position rotary switch that in the most counter-clockwise position is the tightest response, and...

    NAD: KSR Orthos MKII!

Yes, it was! ÜberschallEL34 is a great seller btw! Packed it up ready for war lol. How's the Ares?! I was going to go with that if I didn't grab the Orthos.

    NAD: KSR Orthos MKII!

Got it a few days ago. This is one beastly sounding amp, 2 channels with 4 sounds on tap. I only have a video of it on the clean channel because I was having too much fun jamming which is always a good thing. The logo changes colors that can be assigned to any channel/master volume combo you...

    Verdict on the Creambacks??

My port city 2x12 os has a creamback H/V30 combo. This cab isn't going anywhere. I'm pairing it with a JP-2C btw.

NAD - Friedman Amplification BUTTERSLAX!!!! (video inside)

Hahahah fair enough. It wasn't their best that's for sure lol. Some decent riffs and a few nice solos but it dragged a lot. Maybe after seeing it live I will change my mind?

NAD - Friedman Amplification BUTTERSLAX!!!! (video inside)

As much as I hate your "hatred " for Petrucci your videos always sound badass man lol. Keep it up! That's one monster sound that amp makes holy shit.

    Mesa JP2C cab??

I almost went with that cab/speaker choice but felt like trying something a little different. It smokes the Mesa cab. Creamback speaker pairs well with the V30.

    Mesa JP2C cab??

I'm running mine with a Port City 2x12 OS cab. V30/Creamback combo and it sounds badass, much better than my recto 2x12.

    Which Cab for JP-2c

Glad someone else has tried Port City. I know they've been around a while but I finally ordered one about a month ago. Pricey but worth it.

    Which Cab for JP-2c

I have a 2x12 horizontal recto cab and maybe I'm in the minority but I hate it. Bought myself a 2x12 OS Port City cab and it's much better. JP-2C and Port City are a great match. Creamback V30 combo btw.

    Boogie JP2C (Coming Back)

You won't have to pay anything, you'll look up an authorized Mesa amp repair shop and they'll fix it up. First off, try the amp out because the loop might not be an issue for you. If it is then get the fix. It's not that big a deal.
