DiMarzio YJM HS4 vs. Duncan YJM Fury?
You guys who have used them, opinion please. I used to play a Fender YJM with HS-3s, never got a chance to play either the HS-4 or the Fury. I know some guys actually prefer the old Dimarzio YJM.
Yes, it had to go back to ZZzounds, the thing was beyond repair unless you replace the Floyd. They sent me a new one and it worked out in the end, BUT not without major issues dealing with these guys. Bottom line: I will NEVER EVER deal with ZZounds again.
congrats on the RC7, I don't know how much playing time you got into it, but please give us a review.
I really love my RC7, the neck is just magic, those big assed 6100 frets are great too.
I'm curious about the 26.5", it seems like rusty was really set on 25.5" scale lenght.
what cab are you using with the Stealth? it seems like this thing would go much better with a 4x12 than a 2X12, consider how much air and headroom it's going to pump.
must've been when they changed over to the slimmer 70's radius. The first one I owned was the very first run of the Malmsteen model (88 maybe?), I ended up selling it because the scallope was not very deep, low frets and it was a baseball bat. The current ones are amazing.
Yes. Love the Malmsteen necks , but the earlier Malmsteen models had baseball bat necks, they're so ubelievably difficult to play, even if you're a blues basher. But the later 70's style headstock ones are just amazing.
I have a Malmsteen neck on my Tele right now.
Fender Strats: favorite or best necks that you guys came across, please list.
Mine:
-a 1973 neck: really easy to play but still has a good chunk of meat on it for all the blues bends etc.
- MIJ Pink Paisley
- 1981 JV Squier
been using the RC for over 5 years now with different high gain amps, it responds well with amp gain, I pretty much have it on all the time.
I usaed the BB but I find it's more of an overdrive, too hot for using as a boost
Great demo from Tone King , the guy demoing sounded good too. This one perks my ears for sure, Fortin is great, can't wait to actually play it. Any release date on this thing?
Nice demo by Alex Hutchings, great to see Roland hiring a real serious player to demo the stuff. The Blues Cube seems like an interesting, more organic approach to amp modeling:

great topic, and you're right, never talked about. It all has to do with your picking technique and which string height suits your right hand picking the best. That's why one could pick easier on certain guitars compare to others.
this is just great, man. i wished the guitar was mixed a little louder, hehe..
Just couple questions;
1- How high are you setting the phase 90 during the solo?
2- pickup used in your Frankenstrat?
Just a great vintage VH tone, awesome.
totally agree  Troy has his chops down but a good teacher makes something complex simple, not the other way around.
Still, this series he does is great.
