Thanks for the kind words regarding the rig. I've been pleased with it. It's one piece I don't ever plan on parting with. I think Ventura is correct that it likes a more transparent power section. Only problem I have is the weight. It's in an 8 space rack with effects and power amp and has...
I like the 6150 fretwire. One of my issues with LP's I've played is the small flat frets. I'm betting you'll notice the large fretwire a long time before you notice any change in neck radius. i'd go with a straight 12 or strait 14. On an LP I would imagine you'd be up to the neck heel before...
It took me a while to bond with my classic T but now it is my favorite axe. It needed quite a bit of work on the setup side when I got it (couple of years ago so this is not a honeymoon thing). I suspect that is mostly because it traveled cross country in July to NC and I'm guessing it didn't...
I remember the episode. I didn't think you said anything too bad from what I remember, just trying to stir up a shitstorm as I recall. I've seen worse troll posts from people who are just natural dickheads without withdrawing from meds. Don't sweat it.
What he said. I was looking for a classic marshall design but wanted lower wattage/volume and I wanted a new amp. I am lucky enough to live near Destroy All Guitars and actually went and tried out some amps. For what I was looking for the Fargen was a no brainer. I got to try out some...
I've use it direct to board for several years and it works well. Alway's started from scratch making may patches. Presets did all suck but I never noticed them being too bassy really. Decrease the cab resonance as stated. I found that it works great for clean and mid gain stuff. Sucks large...
They were cutting edge at the time and sound great for overdrive and high gain applications. They can be found cheap now but hard to get some parts/repairs. I have one that is sitting in my closet but I plan to get a power amp and use it again when I can save the dough. The MIDI is simple and...
Be aware that on a neck through body guitar the predominant tone will be the neck wood. I have a mahogony body guitar but I like maple fretboards so I got an all maple neck and it is neck through. It is a bright snappy machine.
This is more like it. :D I got involved in a bit of a shitstorm on TGP today as well on a stupid pedal post of all things, where I called out the moderators for being douchenozzles. I'm guitarspaz over there.
Sounds like the take home message is I could probably get by with it since I...
