Move the pickups down on the low E side some and try to EQ it cranked abit, it should be thick and full sounding but not bass dominate . The mids will sound scooped with a big bass going on.

I should mention i want the p-90 for a schecter solo 6 custom Le , it sounded very thin and lifeless with the seymore duncan HB pups it came with. The attitude p-90s give it is fantastic i think !

1 ohm means nothing, check for continuity and get a beep on your meter will tell you it at least if voltage flows thru but not amps. Check all fuses this way. A bad tube seems possible , caused a short.

The OD channel is driven by both triodes in a 12ax7,try changing that tube i think it is v2 but check the tube layout at egnater. You should be getting alot of gain,ive got more gain than needed but sino tubes distort horrible imop.
