My guess is the 22H is the same as the 50 and 100 watt models. The difference in modding won't be as drastic as the 20H but there are plenty of cool things that can be done. I charge 50 bucks to install a Metro loop regardless of the amp...that's pretty damn cheap.
I'm probably going to get one to play with, but I have a feeling it won't stay stock too long. :D That circuit is certainly not bad, but there are lots of ways you can go to make it better depending on the genre you're going for.
I think the stock preamp tubes sound fine...especially if you are having it modded, but the power tubes should be replaced with JJ, EH or equivalent regardless. New power tubes really make a difference.
Thanks Steve...It is a unique design for sure and you are right there are some other great tones in the amp for sure. I look forward to a gig report with it.

I just modded one of those a few weeks back and I installed the newer style cap cans and replaced all the the rest with F&T caps. It turned out sweet and the F&T caps are less expensive than the older style ones pictured above. I just drilled 2 small holes and installed the clamps...looked...
I personally don't care for them myself but install them if asked. I just don't care for the way they mess with the NFB circuit but some people love them.
