I doubt that mike would lie just to benefit billy blades and pull a hoax on everyone. The amp did sound pretty good, but as others said about good production has a lot to do with it. Amp sounds great and price is nice but the amp still looks pretty ugly.

If they are stock then they are ceramics. Only the recent re release classics don't have the ceramics. Some are wound hotter then others though, pickup height, and the fact of a different guitar may account why they sound diff your goldtop.

Congrats. Older classics are great guitars for the dough. I believe that in 02 they still were all 1 pc body which is something found mostly on custom historic gibsons these days, and dark rosewood boards. I dig the 500k ceramics in them, don't change them.
