And SteveKunt is proud to support the thief, twice now. But he'll start a thread complaining about shoddy packaging of a guitar that ended up being broken. It's all about SteveKunt and how many people will stroke his douchebag ego.
I find it interesting some interpret the phrase "tone is the hands" to mean the flesh and bone of someone's hand, as opposed to the technique, touch, and style of an individual player.
All of them, or at least all the ones I've tried. It has a certain crackle and depth that I hear from a real miced speaker that I just haven't gotten from other IRs. 3rd party as well. Why? I have no idea.
Just giving some props to the brownyback. It has been my favorite cab since downloading it. Was it captured differently than others or something? There's something about this cab.
Something else to consider is the WOS plugin (comes with Reload if I'm not mistaken). Reload + CAB will take care of any situation I can imagine (outside of something like a digital fly rig), including recording, but Reload + WOS allows a great deal of flexibility to dial in your tone. Or even...

Not sure if there's a 5150 on there, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have some special thing that sounds poorly compared to other amps using TN stuff. You should get an idea of the tones you can get.
Your current setup would work fine for getting ideas down, maybe not as well for final recordings. The Reload is going to give you a top notch load box and line out for the purpose of using DAW cab sims. As an attenuator it is pretty transparent, with a continuous volume control (I've grown to...
If you're going to use impulses, get the WOS (comes with Reload). It's a solid, feature rich, low latency plug in. You also have the option of shooting your own IRs.
Impulses will not replace a miced cab, IMO. However, shooting your own IRs will get you pretty close to your own rig, plus...
Just making sure you got it. Since their other products have on board cab sims, and really their hallmark, people often confuse the Reload with having them.
I think you'll like it more than your hotplate and the line out is really nice. It comes with the Two Notes WOS plugin. It will load...
I have the Reload and really like it. Yes, it will load your amp and give you line level signal into the DAW for cabinet simulation. I had to get a XLR to TRS cable because the line out signal is hot, and the mic input would clip, but the TRS input was fine. It will depend on you interface...
Might as well keep the SLO unless you are needing the money. Just in case you get an itch some day. Otherwise, yeah, a Marshall and a boost is all anyone needs.
Just imagine the butthurt around here if someone redid a 80s Yngwie tune and made money off it because it was better than what Yngwie puts out now.
The butthurt would be as long as the internet.
It's hard to believe this has ended up here when the OP asks for critiques and he gets constructive and accurate advice. It takes more than fretboard antics and tone to write music that sounds good to other people.
Best of luck of the OP.
