This is my experience as well. What little high end detail in an IR goes away as soon as you mix it with another one. I don't know if it's a phase issue or what, but it's real. I've heard some same with some's "mix cocktail"...the clips have no high end detail.
Dude, it's an AxeFX. Any observation or opinion not positive is the equivalent of punching an AxeFX owner's wife in the face....or even worse....their AxeFX's face!
I'm not a business owner, but I would imagine a couple things you don't do....a) throw a customer under the bus on an internet forum...b) talk to a customer in that way. That's bound to backfire.
As for an exchange policy, I'm not sure how much that applies to shoddy workmanship. If I...
I just listened to 5150 after listening to the Sammy, Anthony, Stern interview. They played a bunch of Sammy era stuff and I had to load it up and listen. Good stuff.
Yep. Shredder's everywhere are confused as to why they never received their due respect. They could shred it up, great technique, weedly weedly like crazy, wear the garb, and confused why they did not receive their due respect, blaming it on place and timing. The reasoning was really...
Govan is a freak of nature. I saw the Aristocrats earlier this year and checked out his rig after the show. A Badger amp setup for light clean/light crunch with a Koko Boost for his leads. He was doing all his Govan tricks with just that. Dude just has great fretboard finger strength and...
It's all about technique. Lots of practice is required, but in the end some guys have it and some guys don't. I do not.
I've always found the hardest amps to play were set up for a good crunch. Even clean amps tend to easier to play.
I was looking into a 76 JMP that was for...
Yep. It was a good show, but I've seen him a few times now and know what to expect so nothing surprised me. Fun still.
I've never seen Steve Morris live, but knew what he could. His band sounded real good. Loud but not so loud it turned to mush, clear and precise. Nothing really grabbed...
Yes, as long as your DI can handle a speaker level output. You will still want to go "thru" to the cabinet so your head will have a load. The DI will ultimately still color your tone, depending on the DI. My experience is a DI at speaker level will bring it down to line level but sound...
I felt about the same way when I saw him about a month ago. Morris' set had a far superior tone/volume/mix. It was tough to say whether Joe's set was louder, more compressed, a shit mix, or all three, but Morris' set was much more listenable.
There were moments I wasn't sure exactly what...
Yeah, pre-expansion pack. Like anything else, some people can make stuff sound good, and I can't . :)
That said, that's still the best 11r clips I've heard.
