NAD! JVM Content... JVM Guys I have some questions for you!

JVMs are definitely noisy amps. I have owned three of them and they definitely have a good deal of hiss on the OD channels and a bit of hum. Don't dial in the gain on OD1 or OD2 with your eyes, because in orange and red modes, you will *never* need it above 4 on the dial. On OD2 red, I don't...

Baron Custom Amps' Newest Creation... the BM

Cheers guys  I am unfamiliar with the band Sugar. Something tells me they were big before I was born (1988)  I just kind of threw the riff together so there would be a nice mix of playing styles and open/palm muted stuff ;)

Baron Custom Amps' Newest Creation... the BM

I would prefer the association to bowel movement than talking about the hairy brown eye it came out of...  Not everyone is going to like every clip I do. It's perfectly understandable. This is in standard tuning... do people even play in that anymore :scared:

Cheers. It only took me about 40 heads to end up with those eight   :)

Baron Custom Amps' Newest Creation... the BM

Dave from Baron Custom Amps has been quite busy churning out a new design that can get aggressive and juicy, but retains great definition. The British Metal (BM) channel has the widest range of gain I have ever played with the twist of a knob from 80's kerrang to saturated like the job market in...

how're the new mexican promod Charvels?

Wood doesn't end up perfectly straight either, not to mention the fact that it is porous and "moves." Having a separate fretboard adds to the stability of the neck because the two piece of wood are slightly different :)

how're the new mexican promod Charvels?

Yep.... I love my Slime Green American, but I freakin' hate taking the neck off to adjust the truss rod. It is truly an unintelligent product decision to make something difficult to adjust in my honest opinion.

    Marshall yjm100 discontinued :(

I thought they discontinued it a while ago? I use one as my main live amp and plug straight in :)

How long have you been rocking your current #1 amp?

My last live amp was a Fortin Modded EVH 5150 III that I played live for two years. I had to sell it to buy a new car. I started playing in a band again in January and my Marshall YJM has destroyed live ever since. My signal chain is very simple: Greg->Guitar->Cable->Amp-Cab ;)

    Marshall JVM410

I've done reamps through it with actives and it hasn't been an issue. The amp just plays more nicely with passives in my experience. Some amps retain their feel with either, but the JVM sounds a bit pushed.

    Marshall JVM410

They're great amps. I own one and it ends up on recordings regularly. The only downside is the higher gain channels are a bit noisy, but it doesn't detract from the amp for me. Works through the Mesa cab great or Greenback loaded cabs. It doesn't love active pickups, but it doesn't hate them...

Where is all the Schecter love around here? Rant inside.

This is really a tale of consistency and happiness. I only own physical things because they help me complete tasks that are important to my life. I don't "collect" guitars or amps; that is silly to me. I may be 24 years old, but one thing I know is that the user does the most work to create a...

Where is all the Schecter love around here? Rant inside.

Where is all the Schecter love around here? As a studio engineer and gear head, I am very fortunate to have a lot of friends and artists who bring a lot of axes through here. I have recorded and played Dean, Paul Reed Smith, Gibson, Jackson, Charvel, Bernie Rico, Guerilla, Suhr, GJ2, Fender...

Just bought a Motor City Garuda- What can I expect?

Expect awesome. It's a hair tighter than a JB, but with a stellar top end, no fizz or cackle, and a great midrange.
