OK.
It's a Digitech EX-7 straight into an MBOX with Protools LE. Guitar is an old Charvel Model 3A with a Duncan EVH in it.
The Digitech has digital emulations of some popular distortion pedals, including cab simulation. The main lead part is a DOD 250 (I think). You cannot select the cabinet...
Yeah, so I'm four days late but what the hell
Here's mine

It's a little brighter than I would like, but the headphones I have are dark sounding.
Oh, and clam warning at 1:05.
Now off to hear the other...
I agree, and I wasn't trying to bash the new Charvels at all. Just sharing in my experiences with the production Charvels, NOT the Custom shop stuff.
And btw, I owned a Kahler-fied Charvel from 85!!!
I remember doing stuff like that, without the cig. though, back when I was
12! AND THERE WERE NO VIDEO CAMERAS TO DOCUMENT IT, OR INTERNET TO SHARE IT!!
For me, the body of the N4 is too small. I'm over 6' tall. I don't like the p'ups either, in my old age I am liking lower and lower output p'ups. The fretboard is wider than most and takes a little getting used to. Not a pro or a con I guess - just an observation.
I was around and playing...
My good friend owns a guitar shop in HI. He can use anything he wants - Egnater, Bogner, Fender, Marshall, Boogie, VHT, Diezel, You name it. He uses an SD80 and gets great sounds out of it. He does 80's 90's Rock/Metal.
I'd like to add this - it may help someone understand modes better...
Notice the inervals between teh notes (W = Whole, H = Half)
Ionian (major) - 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 --- (naturals relative to the key) W W H W W W
Dorian - 1 2 b3 4 5 6 b7 --- (b3 b7) W H W W...
Low volumes is def. not where she shines. The pwr damp really changes the tone on mine. I NEVER use it. Slaved, or set cleaner with a pedal is the way to go - unless you can stomach how loud it is with the Treble Vol. around 7. Even better maxed. IMO, Bass vol. is to dark.
I hated mine...
I still have my 22 combo from '86 (I think). Won it in a guitar contest that Marty Friedman was also in - I came in 1st, he came in 2nd!!! What a JOKE!(the contest, not Marty) Glad I got the amp, though. For low volume practicing, nothing I have is better. The clean and mild gain tones are...
