Recording Guitars. Big yet controlled low end.?!?.

standard E? Go with the Ride the Lightning approach on eq: hi pass around 100, narrow Q aggressive boost at 160. POW! This works great at the source if you have a para EQ to put in the amp loop, but you could definitely do this at mixing. for mids, a slight cut at 400 (Diezel), 500 (most...

    Revv Generator experiences?

Where is your ch volume at? I get that the original 5150 did not have a master, but those amps were great at regular loud volumes. This Inv 120 sounds putrid until the ch volume is above 3 oclock/ near max, making it damn near impossible to max the master volume without an attenuator. But I do...

    Revv Generator experiences?

oh and I LOVED my Revv gen II. It is mix-ready in studio or on stage, high gain sounds so killer! The cleans and low mid crunch were not as inspiring for me, but fine enough. I even liked the Revv in those online blind shootouts so I guess it is a tone I like

    Revv Generator experiences?

I just tried this and it is terrible, so bad I assume it is typo? I'm finding the key is not the Master but the ch volume- they need to be near max and then the amp is wholesome and roars, even at lower master volumes. max Master volume is yielding a thin and buzzy high end over here

    Ltd Hetfield Snakebyte...Indonesia shocker

I'm just yanking your chain. I like a lot of Fricker's vids, you just need to be in the right mood for his screaming. I get that people blast him though

To Synergy or not to Synergy

Keep in mind I am a high gain freak, not a mid ghain guy 1 the noise floor does seem higher on modules, but also maybe not or not as much as you would think. Many of the modules go into extreme levels, not sure if the noise is any higher than say a 5150 amp variant. Dial the OD to moderate...

To Synergy or not to Synergy

I like tube amps, Kemper, and synergy. It's all inspirational. The synergy sounds great as long as you have a proper power section- for me that means big glass for modern rock/metal. FWIW, I love the SLO module, thought maybe I should get a slo? Then I hear clips a/bing the syn slo vs the...
