Any vocalist that played / recorded with Yngwie didn't have the same impact on singing that YJM had on guitar playing. No one was playing like that when he came here in Steeler as a hired gun, then Alcatrazz and then his solo stuff. The guy had a profound impact on guitar playing like Hendrix...
I'll always love Yngwies playing regardless of how big of an ass he makes of himself...these statements included.
I find it funny he talks of ego when his entire stage is wall of Marshalls and his band is off to the side.
Yngwie needs a front man like Jeff Scott Soto which was a perfect fit on...
You have your priorities straight! That was one reason I started buying higher end stuff used to get it 40-60% off of what someone else paid for new ;) I'd only spend huge bucks theses days on real vintage stuff....I'd never pay 5k plus for anything brand spankin new
I love Randy but I didn't like his rhythm tone on Blizzard. I like it better on DOAM. I like what he had going on the After Hours stuff. I really like how he double and triple tracked his solo's on the studio albums.
He is tough to nail and I think its more important to play it right than to...
Nice guitar no question. It doesn't matter how much it listed for or what it was purchased for new. What matters is what the market is for used. I'm guessing it won't sell for $999...more like $750-850 range. The thing that cracks me up a bit is AAA alder hahah
Buy a used Historic/Re-Issue as it will have ebony and 9 time out of 10 a better built guitar than production LPC's. Depending on neck profiles you prefer get a 57 RI fatter neck or a 68 RI slimmer neck.
Go to the Les Paul Forum and ask away and learn before you burn money. I was a LP newbie...
I get it, I truly do and totally understand everything he said there. I've been there with the exception of a lot of bad things happening to me throughout my life, I'm truly blessed in that regard but cursed with seeing things in people others cant see. I just can't end the ride myself and feel...
I don't like Mr Crowley tuned down but I'm guessing its to make it easier for Ozzy's vocals.
Randy used E and Eb. The pinstripe Jackson was Eb and he used it for the songs off of Diary..Believer, Flying High etc
That is very true. No one said life was easy...its much easier to die than to live in this fucked up world of life...having said that I want to endure it until I reach at least 100 years old. If I didn't have plenty of family, wife, kids, grandson, friends that love me I would have a different...
sad....I do not understand how anyone with children can self check out like this. I feel bad for his kids, just like Chris Cornell's - their fathers took the cowards way out. No pity for people who commit suicide, only for the damage they leave behind for their family members who have to deal...
It is simplicity at its finest and you have a great base tone right there...nothing else needed in the signal chain. I've always been a minimalist when it comes to effects and hate hearing overly processed guitar tone
I did this on a couple LP and use TUSQ-XL pre-notched nuts for LP's. Before removing I cut with an exact-o blade thru the clear so it doesn't chip off anything else. It can take a bit of strength to remove it but comes of easy. I sand off any wood glue left in the nut slot. I use the existing...
I have a set of Duncan Antiquities in an R7 Goldtop and love them.
Could also try a Duncan Custom-Custom in the bridge and keep the Jazz in the neck. I have one in bridge in a BB7
DiMarzio 36th anniversary set in a Trad + that kill it too.
