Didn't Dio complain about Blackmore ? I'd take Ronnie's side in that argument FOR SURE.

Him singing is a joke, as is having 90 Marshall stacks when a half stack will do. He never grew musically. it's the same shtick he's done for decades.

As everyone knows, Blackmore is Yngwie's hero so the apple does not fall too far from the tree so to speak. I love what Blackmore but like Yngwie, he is stuck in an era and thinks everyone is in on the news.

Actually in this case I side with Blackmore as he form any fucking lineup he wants for Rainbow and he did. Turner did not like that he was not invited. Think about that, Turner picks two fights with 2 guitarists over the same thing. Job and $ to me.
Then there are the verbal attacks on Coverdale.

yeah Richie gave the reason he didn't contact Joe. Said given the shows were taking place in europe he thought european audiences would want to hear a more "dio" style vocalist over an AOR guy...I totally agree with him

No one was playing like that when he came here in Steeler as a hired gun, then Alcatrazz and then his solo stuff. The guy had a profound impact on guitar playing like Hendrix, Van Halen and Rhoads before him and honestly imho there is a bunch of great players since Yngwie but nothing is considered a game changer in that regard.
I'm a big Yngwie fan up to Trilogy, I really dug the stuff he did with symphony orchestra. I'm more into instrumental music anyway but I really like Jeff Scott Soto with Yngwie.
