    NCD: 1980’ish 1960A Cab

It’s an earlier single input mono cab. Glad I finally got a matching cab for my 89s 4 holer Jose mod. It came with 2 vintage 30s for $200. Luckily I had 2 more V30s from a crappy 2x12 I pickup up last month for $100, so, all in for $300. The 4 holer I got for $750.

Finally got it installed. It took me a minute to get used to it. Mainly because I’ve been playing 17k bridge pickups for a long while now. These measured in at 10k on the bridge and 8k on the neck. The are bright like a PAF, but still bring the heat. Dare I say the closest thing to an EVH...

Any Loudness Fans? Rare Pickup Find

From what I gather, like all of us, his taste in pickups evolved and that he has used the SD 59, Custom 5, and even the custom/59 hybrid. This effort was to recreate the Thunder in the East tones. He was using Gibson pickups at the time. The result is an overwound hot PAF@9.5k which would be...

Any Loudness Fans? Rare Pickup Find

There is 1 set left in black, but with the yen rate they’d be around $500. I don’t think thats too bad since custom shop alone would be $360 for a set but these are limited and unopened. Let me know if you want me to grab them :D

Found these unopened. They were released in 2016 and were limited to 100 sets. They are custom shop Many of which were bought by ESP for Akira’s Killer brand signature guitars. I paid a pretty penny for these. Thinking about putting them in my rising sun chubtone. Per the articles: To...

ToneNerd WD Forte in New Relic Build

There’s only 3 of this pickup in the wild. Like the pickup it’s based on, the RTM, it’s got a chunky low end more balance in the high mids and highs than a JB. This one is 18.2k 53mm rough cast A2. The guitar is an MJT HSS in Olympic white. All metal parts are factory aged for oh and bridge...

Stores didn’t kill stores. Private sales did. Any jackass can list a product for damn near brick and mortar prices and consumer will pay it.
