Helios is cool, but it sounds a little congested compared to Snorkler. The Snorkler feels and sounds more alive and harmonically rich. The channels are also a bit more complimentary to one another and accessible via foot switch so that is another bonus. Helios with the EQ bypassed gets a bit...
I have had 3 earlier Bogner modded Marshalls and none of them had anywhere near the gain the Snorkler. One of them I got from Todd D. and sold to Steve K. That one was very unlike the others. It was a beast.. It had two modes like the Snorkler but the volume was unmanageable without an...
I think the blue channel is decent, but next to my plexi and jb45 it is just that. decent.. nothing too special. The red channel is a lot of fun! I would not go so far as to call it a one trick pony, but the high gain saturated tones are what it excels at.
I dont particulaly care for them and do not know or care about their value personally. I am just passing it on in case it is a great price, knowing that plenty of folks here like them... carry on.
I like Crunch channel on Ch 1. hair + gain at 3 o'clock. boost on. bright switch on. back off the density to around noon.. depth @ 10 o'clock
season to taste with PTMB, but all near noonish.

I just got mine yesterday after 6 month back order... It sounds a whole lot like an old Bogner modded JMP 2204 that was made for my friend Toru back in the mid 90's Very saturated and toothy with lots of spit and snarl. Not the most dynamic, but excels at saturated modded Marshall tones...
Ron Thal. aka Bumblefoot. His musical vocabulary is sooo vast, coupled with incredible technique and creativity! I loved Early Yngwie too. Saw him in '83 with Alacatrazz. Mind blowing!
1973 Jose Ramirez 1A Brazilian Rosewood. ( with10 year old appraisals in the case, one for 5900 and another for 6k). 20.00 at an estate sale
