Does anyone have any first hand experience with the current production JVM 410 since they switched to Vietnamese transformers? How about the other full sized Marshall amps. 1959HW, 2203x and 1987X. I have seen the video that Jason from headfirst does that shows the 800 with low plate voltage and ringing.. any other input from anyone out there? Thanks.

I had both the new 1987X and 2203X with the Vietnamese transformers and could not return them quick enough.....it was exactly as Jason had described, the constant tranny bell ringing drove me nuts.

They both had the ringing tranny too? not good!!

For what it`s worth, my old 2 channel Dual Rectifiers have PTs with that ringing as well. Some more, others less. A rackmount Recto had it excessively. Thightening the mounting screws of the PT cured some of the problem, but there`s still some self resonance of the bell covers that goes away, when you put your hand on it.

I've got 2 1959HWs that I've modded, no problems at all. It's probably also worth noting that Jason has no problem modding a pretty much non-stop stream of amps with the new transformers for people without changing the iron.

My 2007 (pre fuse-removal) 410h feedbacks and rings without Vietnamese tranny help :ROFLMAO:
