Hey 1big1.
Yeah, I'm old too man! :D
Yeah, I have to keep up with a loud drummer myself, but I don't want so much volume that I can kill animals at long distance.. :codeak:
I played a Marshall 40 watt tube amp and it was killer, and I was going to buy it and they sold it before I got...
Hey Blackba..
I tend to play almost exclusively 70's classic and 80's metal rock, and bluesy zep like stuff.. I ride the volume knob though to soften and clean up the signal, and don't use anything reverb in my amp now, and I like delay in lead, etc,.. But, lately I'm playing with a Pitch...
Hey folks.
I work at a pawn shop, :D and today we got in all these guitars someone left behind. I'm wondering if someone would / could help me with the values for a couple of them, and tell me if this strat might be an american one?
Ok..

First guitar: Gibson...
Hi Code001. I'm using a Mac Book Pro with Chrome Version 37.0.2062.122..
If I do the same on my Chromebook, no problem. Only on my Mac Book Pro for some reason. I'm guessing as an old web programmer it's an include file that forwards folks based on their browser and version, or some...
Hey Martin,
Are you able to crank the amp with those wattages and still maintain a low enough volume to not upset other band members or the audience? Just wondering? If not, are you using lot's of pedals and clean channel of amp?
Thanks
T
Hey guys .. I didn't know where to post this, but on my mac book pro, when I log in, I get refered to a small mobil page first and then I have to scroll to the bottom of that page and click a button that says "Full size" or something. I didn't know if this was normal, but thought maybe it was...
Hey guys..
When I was growing up, everyone had to have at least a 50 watt head, or a 100 watt stack of course, and then they'd not turn them up but would use 15 pedals to get their tone.. I started out on a Fender Twin reverb as I was a huge Ted Nugent fan and he had the biggest influence on...
Thank you. Do you keep the metal angular thing on the headstock that holds down the little b and e strings? I'm just wondering? I saw a guitar or two / strats without the same, but I've also seen some that were made of rollers and mine don't have the same. I've been wrapping the string big time...
Hi,
So, what do you use for a nut? Does the blade runner stay in tune as well as a floyd? I mean, can you abuse it big time and it stay in tune? Pull ups dives, etc?
Thanks so much.
T
I've seen those advertised and if I build another strat style guitar, I may just have to get one instead of a floyd this next time.. I'd like to try and stay away from the floyd although I love them, if I could only find something that would stay in tune all the time. I thought about the blade...
Hey guys. I posted awhile back about my Frankenstrat I have that has a 6 screw bridge and I wondered how EVH and others were able to use it and stay in tune. Anyway, I started playing with it, and had a new graphite nut put on by a tech and told him what the problem was, etc,. So, now I can do a...
Hey Richard.
I appreciate that. I have never in my life past the first year or two used a Metronome, but I do use backing tracks a lot to keep my timing on par so to speak. I seem to tense my muscles in my hand, stop breathing , etc, when I'm trying to play fast. Do you think this has anything...
I've been playing for many years on and off, mostly off. I'm now 53. I've played in bands, but they've always been bluesy rock bands or 80's type stuff, and it was just a few times when needed, but I love playing.
My problem is I can't seem to relax the right muscles to get enough...
Thanks Cardinal. I found out you can buy the body with the angle already cut out correctly.. I thought I'd shave the neck pocket a little to get the angle.. But, you'd have to be careful or you'd mess up the height of it, but I"d rather mess that up than the body I'm thinking, but maybe not...
Thanks Cardinal. I wondered about the width of the charvels. I might be better off to buy a used one, but I want that EVH Peavey Wolfgang neck feel, and the looks and functionality of the Charvel, etc, with a floyd that rests on the body and only dives, etc,. I read you shouldn't shim a neck or...
