Unless you were venting majorly at the manufacturer before contacting them, that does seem lame. Though if it wasn't a mod, it may've just been some DB on his cycle. :)
Agreed.
And we don't know if that was actually said or in what context. And if it was said, was it said about everyone or just a specific poster or maybe a few? Anyway, it's a bad idea to drag someone who isn't present to account for herself into such a thread.
Unless there was information you were needing from the forum, I wouldn't count it as any loss. If I ever end up with an AxeFX, I'll only frequent the forum if I'm needing to research info. Some other forums are similar. I'd just approach them differently and not spend much time on them.
Some of it's going to come down to personal taste. I don't like Radio Head at all, for example, and others may hate some bands I like. And many albums considered great only have a song or two I like a lot. But when I mention Rush, Zep, or Sabbath, the runs of albums have at least a few songs I...
I thought responding to the threat with another threat was a bad idea, as well. But at the same time I can imagine myself in the place of being a business owner seeing someone post a lot of great talk about a past business associate who bailed but still posted a lot of negative things regarding...
Being a little kid in the '70s, these are some of my memories of the era, including disco music as part of pretty much every TV show. :D

Hey, if that's the cost of getting his voice out of the PA, then so be it! :D
I don't know enough about G&R to know who had what amount of songwriting credits, but Axl did seem to at least have provided a positive spark to the band in some way depite the horrid vocals. IMO, one of the worst...
A used 5150/6505+ through a vintage 30 cab and maybe also a cab with 75's should do the trick nicely, though a boosted Recto would also be nice. 8)
I have a 6505+ and a good older Carvin cab with 2 V30's and 2 EV12L's but wouldn't mind also having an Engl E530 rack setup to go through another...
Try turning off the overdrive pedal and raising the amp gain just a bit if necessary.
If that doesn't work, the next step I'd take is trying guitars without 81's in the bridge, or if you have an 85 in the neck try swapping to the bridge. The 81 can be fairly trebly pickups IMO -- good for...
I think it's got a mahogony body and would probably work well with pickups that sound good in LP type guitars if the sound with EMG's isn't wanted. I like teles and will at least try one out if I ever see one. 8)
I don't agree with everything they said, but... :D Polar opposite bands I never got into, though credit given to DT for the occasional cool Rush cover. 8)
If tubes were the issue, that can happy with any tube amp and was possibly a problem before your amp shipped from the ebay seller, though if I was paying a tech to fix it I'd ask what the bias is for the tubes and if any seem far off from the others in bias.
I can't speak for the 6534+ and...
The problem I've noticed with many who've posted clips over time with small wattage amps is getting a big & yet tight tone from them for heavier music. They seem great for other types of music, though.
Same here -- except I still waste a lot of time online. :D
IMO there's nothing wrong with letting a forum of people know you're taking a break. But it can come off as pretty lame and attention-seeking if a lot of drama's attached to it. Still, if the person has a lot going on...
