google owns youtube, it makes sense that you would need a google account
and no, IP addresses do not contain your physical address, all they do contain is the physical address of your ISP (mine for instance is totally wrong)
your address is publically listed information, that is where it...
I do! That is the exact tone I want. I figure those speakers will do well with my 78 JMP 2204. Now I am on the hunt.
The part I like the best is that solid thud when you chug on power chords. Its not a modern type bassy boom, but rather something more dense.
Thanks for the information...
OMFG that is the cruch I want. My Mesa Recto cab w/v30s is not making me so happy anymore. I have had it for about 8 years though. Why does it have to be I want something I cannot get easily!
I have not tried anything honestly. I live in a place with no guitar equipment within 200 miles. I'll have to order something and try it when i get it.
That cab is sexy! I would like it ;)
For reference the crunch I want to achieve is Scott Ian's early 80s tone.
What I really want is the G12-80 with the '444 bass cones' but these are nearly impossible to find listed as such. Is there a modern clone that sounds similar?
Uh! Peavey 5150 amplifier!
I suggest the v30s because they have a fuller kind of sound (more mids) and mixed with the speakers in your cab they sound freaking great.
Well Slayer uses JCM800s, Megadeth used a lot of stuff but currently the JVM. Killswitch used a 5150 I think. etc, all this points to you liking the Marshall tone. I would go for an 800 with a boost pedal or maybe a JVM depending on how much flexibility you need. Hell even a 5150 would...
Funny my Hex has 4 gain stages also with the OEI OT but it is a 1978 JMP 2204... it also has most of his mods, midboost, feel, global, bottom and brutal/savage switch. Freakin amp KILLS. People that have played older Marshalls plug into this thing and flip out.
