Congrats on the new guitar! Looks killer!!
I agree about the Het Set. They do sound pretty awesome. I have a pair in my black ESP CTM Eclipse and love them. I still like the EMG 60/81 pickups also but the Het Set does seem to have more of that passive punch.
Of the most recent models I have played I'm really liking the Charvels over Jackson and EVH. I'm sure there are great guitars in whatever you choose but personally the latest Charvels I have played have been pretty killer. Even the cheaper import models.
At the time I was flipping alot of gear and just prefer my black ESP Explorer tonally. Wasn't really playing the Vintage White one much so I let it go.
They are awesome guitars! Congrats again! My black one isn't going anywhere.
I've played both and personally prefer the Guthrie Charvel. The features on it are really versatile and I really like Charvel's even though I don't own one at the moment.
I am however thinking about picking up one of the new white Joe Deplantier model Charvels. It's not a USA model but for...
Congrats! Looks like my old Vintage White MX I sold several years ago.
Only ESP Explorer I have left now is my black diamond plated one. Love that guitar. Doubt I'll ever let it go even though it's one of the bolt-on models. It just plays and sounds so killer.
There are some really great Ltd.'s out there but IMO I would buy a used ESP Standard over a new Ltd. if the prices were similar. The old ESP Standards are just killer.
The Mesa Boogie Mark IV is a bad ass amp. IMO the best Mark amp Mesa Boogie has made to date.
Saying that my Soldano Hot Rod 25 can hang with it. I personally love both. They just have a different feel and tonal character. The mega punch and grinding tone of the Mark IV is hard to beat...
Yeah, I'm not using Paypal gift if I don't know the seller and 100% trust them. If they don't want to pay the fees then don't take Paypal or add the fees into your asking price.
I'm not sending a unknown stranger money without any protection and sellers that expect buyers to do that need to...
Strange so many posting in this thread seem to prefer the 50 to the 100. When I was GASSING for a Helios it seemed the 100 was the only way to go but this is interesting to hear about the 50.
I still GAS for a Helios at times. Just right now I'm pretty happy with what I have. If I ever...
I know what you mean about the Marshall tone. IMO Soldano does Marshall great to a point but Soldano is just way more high gain and in your face that most Marshall tones.
To me the HR25 really shines all throughout the master volume, all the way up to 11. It does seem after you get above 7...
I can see that depending on the music you play and the tone you are after. The Helios definitely seems like a great amp. I love the Hot Rod 25 so much though I would have to own both. :D
Congrats!! Looks killer!!
I've loved every Soldano I have ever played. Mike does them right and they are all hand built to order.
I personally ended up with a new Soldano Hot Rod 25 (with depth mod) around 2 years ago and still love it to death today.
Love the black out look OP. Looks great!!
I decided to keep the gold on my gloss CTM Eclipse at the moment. Just added the Het EMG's for now. Maybe change it up later but love it as is for now.
