My buddy has a mini Recto and I have the rectoverb 25. I know they are suppose to have the same circuitry minus the reverb but the rectoverb 25 sounds better to me. It seems to have more of the thicker Recto tone like it's big brothers. Obviously not near the low end but the Recto fullness is...
I bought the 6505 mini and ending up selling it. I liked the features but felt the tone lacked balls and was a bit thin sounding, especially as compared to my EVH 5150 LBX. As far as your comments regarding the Mesa Mini Recto and Mark 5 25 watt, I have to disagree there as well. The mini Mark...
Man, I hate to see this shit. I would file a claim with the police dept in his city. That is a significant amount of money to lose. Even if they just drop by his residence to question him, that might be enough to scare him into making things right with you.
Killer stuff Rocco. I had a big smile on my face while listening to you kill it and it looked like you were having a blast playing it. We covered that song in the first cover band I ever played out in around 1991.
To be honest, I have five or six USA Jacksons and I end up playing my import Jacksons and MIM Charvels more than I do the USA's. No idea why, I just gravitate to the cheaper ones. That said, all mine have upgraded Floyd's and pick ups so that makes a huge difference.
Just listed to the first two songs and I'll check out the two longer songs in a bit. When We Follow kicks some serious ass. Killer chorus! Singer has some great pipes and the solo in this song is excellent. Nice work and good luck to you guys!
I have an Intellifex for sale if you are interested. I'll give you a better deal on it outside of Reverb.

I have both a Mark V 25 and Rectoverb 25. Love them both. They both sound like their bigger versions but not quit as much girth and headroom. I say this with experience as I owned a few Mark IV's, a IIC+ and a Dual Ractifier previously. Cabs make a big difference with these as well. The...
Had a Triaxis for about 15 years. Sold it not long ago. Version 2 non-phat mod. Loved it. Finally let it go after I purchased a Mark V 25 watt head. Didn't need the versatility of the Triaxis anymore.
Wow - this thread was resurected from the depths. For what it is worth, I've owned a lot of the Holy Grail preamps over the years including a few 3+SE's, X88r's, x99, Fish (with and without Cantrell mod), Engl E580 and 570 etc. i currently own a 3+SE with tranny mod, Blackface mod and Crosstalk...
I traded a guy my MIM maple neck for a MIJ rosewood neck with the blue charvel logo (similar to the one above but the logo is more blue than teal). I put it on my candy blue MIM body and love it. While I feel the MIM maple necks are perfectly fine, I do really like the MIJ rosewood neck.
