Different strokes I guess. I've owned a couple of Suhrs now and I find them to be really expressive guitars. The general fit & finish on my Mayones was second to none, but it was quite a departure from your traditional electric guitar. Mayones are trying something a bit different, whereas Suhr...
I had a Regius 6 a while back. The build quality is amazing on these guitars. I'd be interested in playing another with different woods as mine sounded pretty bright. It was seriously heavy too.
I had the Keeley 4 Knob compressor. Cool pedal, but found myself using it less & less over time though. Plus it was pretty noisy, which I guess is the same with all compressors. I don't think I got much more benefit out of having the 4 knob version, compared to the 2 Knob. Could've saved a...
I just saw this article via FB about Gibson's financial troubles.

You get a lot of bang for buck on that album. 'The Prophecy' is the only song that isn't really on par with the rest of the album I think. Concept album of course & the lyrics are totally bonkers/amazing.
Listened to Fear of The Dark a fair bit back in the day. Seventh Son is still their best album for me.
Powerslave gets more press than it should I think. It's not a great album, albeit book-ended by 3 decent songs.
I'd be hard pushed not to pick Maiden in my top 5 favourite bands of all...
I once asked Peter about modding an old Einstein to change Ch2 to an independent clean channel. He got back to me that day & told me he would mod it for free if I got it shipped over to him. He also proposed I contact Diezel UK to get it shipped in/out with their shipments to save shipping...
There was an interesting section in the John Suhr Tone Talk episode where Dave discussed Hendrix's studio recording & how he had his amp all loud & gnarly & offensive. The recorded guitar track being much less offensive & 2D but facilitated capturing the character of his unique playing.

I'd also be interested in a Lite version of the AxeFX, with limited amps, FX, deep editing & blocks. I'd probably buy one just as a silent practice module.
I've seen several adverts on FB this last 24 hours for used AxeFX II also. Notably more so than I usually see & with no trade requests for Kempers etc.
Anyone seen the official price tag on these?
Understand the cynicism with it being a take on a classic design, but these guitars are going to be put together and finished personally by a true pioneer of the business. Named after the missus, no less.
Private Stock PRS guitars can't claim to be...
