    Frank Marino playing again

Good news. Huge fan of the guy since the early 70's.

    3rd Power Dragon Head

Great amp. Not versatile, it can be dialed for one thing at a time. The Kitchen Sink would be better for versatility. That said, it kicks ass. The clip is the only one I had, and had a Phase 90 on it.

Low end guitars you have had forever?

    MIM Hendrix Strat.

    You got compressor?

I got an MXR Dyna Comp, the Custom Shop one, Suhr Koji, which is really good, and the Boss CP-1X. The Boss gets the most use.

Interesting how gear moves around the country.

It happens. I sold GC a Ceriatone 50 watt head w/ 6550's. It wound up in the West Coast to a guy who recognized my name (it was inside the amp)

Why does The Clapton signature Stratocaster have 100 Db boost ?

And with the current noiseless pick ups in there, it’s 100 DB of mud

    Moving Questions

I moved from Long Island to S.C. 2 years ago. I let the movers move everything. The guitars made it great. The tranny on my PRS Hendrix head bent. It worked, but it must have taken a big fall. In your case, I'd rather worry about heat concerns then getting something broken. Good luck on your...

    Marshall JVM 410H

Mine broke and I put it out with the garbage, but sometimes I miss it

    Lari Basilio

Absolutely! But where were you in the 70s 80s and 90s when I was playing out? So it’s all relative buddy. I mean, when I was gigging in 1971, your dad was contemplating shooting you into a toilet or not. In my opinion, the toilet would have been the better of the two choices.

Mimi has much fuller breasts, and that’s important. Ariola size is also critical, as is breast volume and weight, which must also be considered. Shaved vs bush also comes into play. Again, I believe Mimi has the upper hand here..

Bands you got into way too late

Alice In Chains, I never knew the guitar tones were so awesome.

Strong hints that Van Halen 1 68 lead was just a slave amp and not the main amp.

You guys act like the mods done by a TV repairman, were so awesome, highly scientific, rocket science, unrepeatable, mathematically, impossible sequence of events, to get some sound on an album from 1978. Give me a break, guy was a goddamn TV repairman for fucks sake. He was probably using old...

Strong hints that Van Halen 1 68 lead was just a slave amp and not the main amp.

He never mentioned the MXR Distortion+ in those old interviews.😂 I go back to 1970/ 1971 with guitar playing and gear. I was well aware of gear when Van Halen came out in78. By that time, I had seen zillions of club bands with Marshalls, and my guess from watching those guys, was that Eddie was...

    IIC++ Reissue vs JP2C?

This was my finding as well. I had the amp for a year, and I A/B’d it with other amps I had and that boxy midrange was very prevalent.

    I need a head for a Suhr 2 x 12 with vintage 30s

I would never buy a used anmp out of any guitar center.

    I need a head for a Suhr 2 x 12 with vintage 30s

After having that JEL 20 I don’t think I’ll ever look at another Friedman app again

    I need a head for a Suhr 2 x 12 with vintage 30s

The Snorkler is the one I think about the most. I’ve been listening to some of the Alice In Chains albums and some of the YouTube examples. Really good

    I need a head for a Suhr 2 x 12 with vintage 30s

The obvious thing would be the SL 67 on the Suhr cab, but I agree with Suhr, who prefers the amp with Greenbacks, so it currently sits on a Marshall 4 x 12 with Greenbacks.

    I need a head for a Suhr 2 x 12 with vintage 30s

I had one a great amp. But it’s too close to the MK VII I have.
