Carbon Copy. I'd also look at the Vapor Trail. Read good things about it and their 805 overdrive pedal turned out to be a winner. I don't like the Flashback but I'm not a fan of digital delay so YMMV.
I would take a hard look at the 50w Peters Chimera in the classifieds right now. It's not much more than the 5153 and I think its tones would more than satisfy. Good luck in your quest!
Overall I've been pretty disappointed with the tone with IRs coming from Two Notes. It's taken a lot of experimenting with mics/cabs/positions to get a good tone. Love the unit and its software though. I have both the WoS plugin and a Live, and they are both great from a functionality/UI point...
+1. Port City is the brand I would go to for a 1x12. Have had a Mesa Recto 1x12 and it wasn't bad but it lacked depth/dimension. Also have had an Avatar 2x12OS. Ok, but the Port City 2x12 standard size cab blows them both away. It's also been impressive against 4x12s. Their porting should...
I think this is a brilliant suggestion and that a 5751 is well worth trying also.

:D
The last TC pedal I bought was made in Vietnam if I remember correctly. The quality seemed poor, so I returned it. Still sad that they are getting bought by Behringer.
Would be really interesting to hear if anyone with the rack unit can compare them. Always wanted to try one of these and it would be great to get that tone in a new package.
I had a DL8 on order from MF when they were blowing them out for $59 but then heard they are discontinued, order canceled. Damn! I bought a Flashback and returned it the next day. The knobs move way too easily for my taste and I just didn't bond with how it sounded.
Plugged back into my Carbon...
I had one of these and it's ok depending on what you expect from it. If you are looking to have the voltage regulated tightly around 120V it will disappoint. It allows the voltage to swing pretty wide away from 120V before it kicks in. And when it kicks in it's a big change in voltage, so your...
I haven't played a Stealth, but couldn't the gain be tamed by replacing one or more of the 12AX7s with a lower gain tube such as a 5751? That's worked on other amps. V1 would be a good place to try if the gain on all channels seems too high.
It's been a long time since I tried them, but I seem to remember the STRs emphasizing the highs a lot. Depends on your amp whether that is a good thing. My preference leaned towards the BHTs.
+1 on this thread. Peters is the best I've played through, for my taste at least. I'm still discovering new tonal nuances depending on where the gain is set on each channel. Just played through my Hydra/FSM/Halo last night and it brought those good kind of chills. I haven't even changed the...
Just posted a reply on a similar topic. I haven't had good luck with any attenuator's line out. Get a good direct box and put it between the amp and the load (cab or Rockcrusher). That should sound much better, and consistent with volume settings.
Could it be something where EZD is configured to play whenever the overall transport is playing? You could check by deleting the MIDI clip in the track and playing from that same spot.
I recently switched to Cubase after bouncing around many DAWs. I'm really enjoying it. I recommend the book...
