I know I keep repeating myself when I tell you that the Straight is the best amp Engl ever built.
But it's true.
period.
This is unfortunatley only the 50W head...still blows the feckin poofterball out of the water

and fucking back at it again...just a few more amps (well, something between 4 and nine...depending on how lazy I get)
first are the 5150 green and red channel.
here's a link to the green channel, red is in the same playlist of course.
but since you all subscribed to my yt channel you should...
Engl Richie Blackmore
Last one for today.
some more Engl, Marshall and 5150s will follow tomorrow, so make sure to subscribe to my yt channel ;)

next up is my beloved Driftwood Amplifiers Purple Nightmare.
This one is with the "sizzle switch" in "most sizzle" position
(it's got three settings, stock is Diezel like smooth presence, A is "more sizzle" and B is "full 5150 type sizzle".
great fucking mod...
Thanks
I actually plan on doing something like that... no boost and different kinds of boost.
I opted for the TS in this one to get the old MArshall amps into high gain territory, else I wouldn't have been able to add them to this comparison...and if I do it for one amp I'll have to do it for...
here's a playlist I created comparing 20 or so different amps with the same DI, same cab and miking

enjoy
or don't ;)
They're really really nice.
kinda like between the 81 and 57...ehich btw are also awesome, especially if you're not a fan of the 81.
very beefy low mids, fell like passives, but are still tight.
The scoop mod is great if you wanna play clean.
The depth mod is a must for high gain tones IMO and the loop bypass makes an awesome amp even better, more dynamic and "open" sounding.
Here's a little comparison I did:
