How do those Hetfield EMGs sound? I'm not an EMG guy but I heard clips of those against the old school 81s and they sounded fantastic.

p.s. Have a good NAMM.

James

They're really really nice.
kinda like between the 81 and 57...ehich btw are also awesome, especially if you're not a fan of the 81.
very beefy low mids, fell like passives, but are still tight.

the esp site shows gold covered pickups on the warbird and the specs say they are Adler sig pickups...this shows regular Duncan's...

What's the street price compared to the MAP?

MAP or minimum advertised price is the street price.

WTF are they thinking with those prices??? Wanna turn $5K into $1.5K in a hurry? Just buy and sell one of these.

And MAP is NOT street pricing...it's minimum advertised price. I've never paid MAP for any big ticket item in my life...and neither should anybody else if they do a little leg work. There's plenty of margin left below MAP.

When ESP make a Sugizo model available in the US...I'm buying. I'm diggin the new Horizons and the Horizon 3s though.

Actually MAP or Minimum Advertised Price is what the vendors refer to as "Street Price" as opposed to "List Price".

Hence thats what will be on the tag and on the websites at the big box stores hence the "Street Price" which is what you find it for sale on the street. What your referring to is the negotiated price which is what the end user might be able to negotiate with the seller after they contact them. I agree you can get deals sometimes on some things and others sell for MAP as there is more demand than supply.

Not trying to be a know it all but in the industry the "MAP" is the Street Price although you can sometimes get things for less.

Thats why I always ask for people to get in touch. ;)

Why oh why did ESP stop doing the Horizon pointy head stock? That head-stock made the horizon, in my opinion, the most wicked looking super-strat on the market.

Did the prices on ESP signature series go up considerably or am I mistaken?
