How is the Jose leaps and bounds better and more versatile then the deluxe which is a channel switching amp and has all sorts of different switching modes and options on various controls? The updated deluxe are a lot more aggressive sounding and so much that I sent it back.

Looks like you have space for another 12AX7 for 2 more gain stages, just depends on what you want to do. The BE circuit sounds great in my opinion and do a couple things to make it slightly different by using a Rivera focus control in the feedback loop and resonance control (like the BE Deluxe)...

Looks like they the original tube and also added there SS loop, odd. The bright cap might help a little but really needs to up the filtering cap in the PI to tighten up the SLO or any clone.
