    Celestion Creamback M65 fans?

I hear what you are saying. My M65s sound very fat with big round lows. That said, I find my Redbacks have big and tight lows. Plenty of low end and smooth highs. Surprisingly Redbacks and M65s blend well in a 412. Celestion recommended this and it's so far and warm. It is also still plenty...

Bassier speaker for a 1x12 cab

I can see that. I tend to use all Redbacks now. Love those. I use them with everything, my Mesa, Revv, Bogner, etc.

Celestion G12K-100's are one of the best speakers around. Try to say I'm wrong.

Hands down Redbacks. I use them in everything. It's hard to go by clips online though.

Bassier speaker for a 1x12 cab

I am curious if bass heavy speakers are best in small cabs or big cabs? I hear mixed comments. Some say the larger cab handles the low end of rhe speaker better and some say the small cab benefits from the added lows. While some say a smaller cab can't handle the low end of the speaker. I am...

    Speaker mix suggestions?

Hey guys, I have four speakers and trying to figure out how to blend. I'm not changing speakers since I like these but I'm I have two cabs, one is larger interior volume than the other, deeper as well. One is a diagonal 212 that is 27*26*14, the horizontal 212 is 24*29*12 which is more...

Source Audio Zio or Electric Eye Mud Killer?

The Buxom is on pat with the Zio? The Buxom is so natural and gives me right ryhthm tones and fat lead tones. The kids on it are fat! I hear the Zio is fat too. I'm curious about the Revv Tilt Boost now.

Source Audio Zio or Electric Eye Mud Killer?

Thanks man, I ordered one. Only other on I am curious about is the Revv Tilt Boost. The Rockaway has boost and drive/gain, but I didn't like it. The Tilt only has boost as do the Buxom and Zio. Not sure if it matters. So ime down to the Zio and Tilt. I tried the KSR Eros and I struggled to...

Source Audio Zio or Electric Eye Mud Killer?

Don't know the Ultra Wave. I like the EQ2 but I prefer my Boss EQ-200. I am getting the Zio. If it doesn't work out, I'll get another Friedman Buxom, my favorite boost by far. I don't like pedals that sound like pedals. I had the Rockaway Boost/EQ and it always sounded like I engaged a pedal so...

Source Audio Zio or Electric Eye Mud Killer?

Mooncobra, thanks again. This is all a big help. So I'm needing a boost for my amps and I'm leaning toward the Friedman Buxom which I love or the Zio. I love that the Friedman sounds so natural with my amps, as if they were part of the amp circuit. I also love that I can get a tight rhythm...

    NCD- Friedman Vertical 2x12

Source Audio Zio or Electric Eye Mud Killer?

Cool, thanks. This pedal will primarily be used for juicing up, fattening up and umping mids for leads.

Source Audio Zio or Electric Eye Mud Killer?

I know you can only EQ so much before gain so it's more about adding gain and compression. I use my EQ in the loop for significant EQ alterations for leads. Thanks.

Source Audio Zio or Electric Eye Mud Killer?

Can the Zio get fairly dark? I mostly want it for lead boosts and tightening at times.

Source Audio Zio or Electric Eye Mud Killer?

Thanks. Can you tell me if you can get the mud killer fairly dark if needed? Fat? I will use it mostly for leads on my amps. Do you find it geared more toward metal? I play some metal but not the heaviest of metal. Play a lot of rock too.

Source Audio Zio or Electric Eye Mud Killer?

Hey guys, Anyone try both of those amps? My main boosts now are the Friedman Buxom and Suhr Koko. The Source Audio Zio and Electric Eye Mud Killer look great. I mostly us my Buxom for tightening some channels on amps. The Zio or Mud Killer I'd use for tightening at times but also just...

Has anyone loaded a 4x12 with Celestion Redbacks?

Interesting, Celestion told me the rule of thumb is 3db. Then they recommended I blend the Redbacks with Creamback M65s. Lol. I can't really hear any issues with volume. I've also used there other big recommendation of V30/T75.

    G12k-100 vs red back

Old thread but I just had to say that the Redback/K100 is a really good blend in a large 212 such as a diagonal oversized 212. May end up trying a DV77 with the Red.

    New amp/modeling/profiling rig!

Never played the Stiletto. I got to borrow a friend's Kemper. I enjoyed it but in thr end missed my Bogner and Mesa. The Kemper as they say, has this midrange frequency that you can't dial out. That bothered me a bit but overall I wasn't thrilled with the high gain profiles I used but the...

    New amp/modeling/profiling rig!

I don't get to play with others a lot and rarely gig, so when I do...I like to use the real deal and enjoy the vibe!

    New amp/modeling/profiling rig!

One point you guys make is the tweaking. I hate tweaking and saving patches. It drove me nuts when I did use modeling years back. Lots of places we play do not use a PA for the guitars, so it's cab for stage volume to fill the room. I'm old school I am realizing. Love the big rigs. I like that...
