    Dependability - Kemper | Dependability - AxeFx?

Not that the feedback is wanted but Zent should refrain from name calling, insult hurling and disrespecting others opinions. We all can clearly see you love the Axe-FX2. It is a great unit and we agree with that. Calling people assholes, idiots, morons...etc as is done on TGP just is not called...

    Still enjoying the Atomica!!!!

I think of you like mesa type tones the ccv is the modded marshall for you...way more deep bottom end than the other modded marshalls out there that i have an across.

    Still enjoying the Atomica!!!!

The older Mesas are a bit more compressed than the modded marshall camp, imo. The trait some people look for that i find evident in amps like the BE-100' atomica and CCV is their high gain without being really compressed. The CCV is the modded Marshall with a dose of the Mesa low end that...

    Dependability - Kemper | Dependability - AxeFx?

Guys...Zent is a big Axe FX2 fan and why not...it does sound pretty nice. He's pretty much on every forum looking for any opportunity to defend/argue that the Axe-FX is the best. Just calling it as it is. Now he's moved into RT to defend the Axe-FX, which he's entitled to do, just gets a bit tired.

    Still enjoying the Atomica!!!!

Hey metalmaniac...i wouldn't think it was a bad thing that the atomica does not have MM iron...the experts over on the metromforum use many different transformers. Some even say Mercury has a harder sound, which i think is evidnt in the CCV...it seems to be stiffer than the atomica to me...sure...

Tell me about the Motorcity Angeldust pickup.

I had black irons in a suhr alder strat and felt they were too bright. Good pickups but probably better in a mahogany guitar than alder. I'm finding Alder to be bright in general and am having trouble finding a the right pickup for it. Am trying the WCR murkat now...darkburst (awesome in an LP)...

Would you sell your Amps to get an Axe-fx 2+Kemper+matrix?

I've done exactly that not once but twice....we'll I'm back. Sold the axe-fx2 and all the stuff that goes with it and am back to amps. It seems like a great idea and could be for a great many but it's just never the same as a good amp and cab. The axe can do a lot but for late night jamming or...

    Doug Aldrich on TMS

He was pretty ripping on there..way better than the most recent group. Steve S smoked too. Those two and Hannon have been the best...not sure what happened to Lynch on there it sounded terrible and it seemed he couldn't think of anything to play...heck just play Mr Scary.

    Still enjoying the Atomica!!!!

I just took ownership of atomica#15. It is an awesome amp....very similar to the HG/LG slp i had. I also had a first run CCV and I think I like the atomica the most. The CCV has a bigger sonic footprint than the atomica and is more modern sounding...sort of a mesa and marshall mixed...

    D-Mon/Moll

If it has a good clean, something like the mega in ch 2 and then another channel on top of that this is going to be a killer amp. At a good price too for a 3 channel diezel. May have to wait on this one.

    D-Mon/Moll

Let me rephrase what I meant...I want independent controls for the clean (like the Dmoll apparently has) and Mega (which I hope the Ch2 of the Dmoll can do). Sounds like you have a good system with the Gsystem. The Einstein is a great amp for sure and I'm glad you like it. Maybe you can pm me...

    D-Mon/Moll

What i mean is channel one had the three modes/shared eq thing going on. It was not just a clean with its own eq. I really like the mega mode and found even with the channel one mod that you couldnt switch modes without noticeable volume jumps. I never cared for channel 2 that much...too...

    D-Mon/Moll

Any info on the price of this amp and what it may sound like for each channell? I had an einstein and loved it except there was not a dedicated clean.

    CCV FX Loop

I hear ya Rob, Just wish this amp was not midi controlled then pedals would be the way to go. Since I'm channel switching via midi figured it made sense to go rack. I know the rocktrons get a lot of love but don't think they are working for me. I will say as a two timing Axe-FX owner the Axe is...

    CCV FX Loop

Hey Chuck, I am talking about you and your Axe....need to see if it hums in the loop. Probably need to get another Axe...maybe I will if things go well....don't have the funds now.

    CCV FX Loop

I found the trim pot but there is so little clearance with the large bundle of wires running near it that is is hard to adjust. It's close to unity at 3 o' clock on the fx mix knob. As far as running cables near the transformers....it's not like I'm trying to get them close to any...

    CCV FX Loop

Thanks for the suggestions on the intellifex/replifex hum issue. I am running them individually with high quality cables into a furman power conditioner. A mixer like the mini mix could be the answer. Also have tried the cable bridging send and return...get a bit of hum then. It is more...

CCV just arrived: Help with Tube changes please.

Put the rft in 1 i think it may take a tad of the bite off the amp and make it a bit smoother....tried an old rca also in v1 and v4 but it caused the bottom end to decrease. I like the rft in v1 others might if you want the amp a tad darker.
