Checked it on the high power setting...plate voltage was 545 on high and 465 on low

I wonder why CCV's are biased sooo high. Like 50ma or higher? Is it because the Primary impedence is around 3.4 which would allow higher biasing than the 70% dissipation rule would indicate? I am very interested to know if Brad, Dave F., Mark C. Or anyone else who may know would let me know i...

Thanks Rupe, I don't know if it's better than the Marsha....they are the two best (Marsha and CCV) amps that I've had. I think the CCV is tighter and may have more gain and a bit more flexability. the CCV sounds better at lower volumes which is important for me...not sure I even need the Aracom...

thanks John, It is similar to the Jose you sold me....but thicker/beefier and not quite as bright with more gain too. Hope the CCV sales go up over the amp show weekend to give all the pre Brad guys a better picture of when they will get their amps. As more of these go out I'm sure Brad's orders...

Do the new ccv's have the hi low power ( i know they have the full half power switch). I am referring to the note in the manual?

I'd say the Decatone won't hang with the Friedman...I've owned both. The Decatone is more SLOish on the gain channel, clean was average, crunch was between a JCM800 and a SLO. The HBE on the Friedman will smoke the Decatone IMO.

I will throw in the BKP Holy Diver...read on the BKP Forum that it has tamed a few bright superstrats.

Some other killer players similar to Andy are Stephen Bennett and Tommy Emmanuel. Those two guys are amazing. The solo fingerstyle acoustic style is a nearly impossible style to master. I tried for 6 years and finally realized i would never be able to play like these guys. Still love good...
