Praises: eecamichael... THANK YOU.. THANK YOU

Totally my pleasure. I had a great time talking with you and I love it when stuff works like you want it. That's the whole point of these forums, right? Talk gear with super cool people, chase the sounds in your head, share your knowledge, and make some friends along the way.

    I just bought an Axe-FX AX8 !!

I use the XiTone 1x12 active wedge and love it. I decided when I jumped into this, to go in 100% and go FRFR. One side of the AX8 goes to the PA, one to the XiTone, and never had an issue. It sounds great.

    I just bought an Axe-FX AX8 !!

I love my AX8. Yes, there is a learning curve to it, but I came from the rack world with midi, switchers, multiple units, but the depth that you can go in this unit is unreal. I use it for both acoustic and electric gigs, and it always delivers. I am going on two years with it now, and it has...

    Axe FX regrets?

No regrets. None. I bought the AX-8 two years ago, along with the Xitone 1x12 wedge. I kept my Boogies, but they don’t get played nearly as much as the Fractal. I use my AX-8 for all my gigs - acoustic, electric, and Fly gigs. It is super easy, consistent, and inspiring. My gas level...

    G-Major help needed

Franklin - I am from Wauwatosa! Here is what I did with mine. Worked like a charm. https://community.musictribe.com/t5/Gui ... td-p/63693

Considering the Move to AxeFX, advice?

I moved to the Fractal Audio AX-8 about two years ago, and my Triaxis > 2:90 and Mesa Mark IVs have been silent since. I jumped in both feet, going FRFR with a Xitone 1x12 powered speaker, and going direct to FOH for gigs. I have never been happier with my tones, and my GAS level is at an all...

    TC Electronic G Force

I have two of these, and moving away from rack gear. They work as they should, face and display are clean, however there is some rack rash on both of them. One is missing the nut on the input, but doesn't hamper performance. $375 each, $675 both shipped and PayPal.

    NAD (kind of)

I get it. I am more of an "add to it" guy vs. buy and replace. A lot of the guitars, amps, and gear I own is 20+ years old, and I still use a good amount of it (all except for the Roland GR-1 guitar synth that I paid WAY too much for)... I look at it as just adding more crayons to the box...

    NAD (kind of)

So I finally pulled the trigger on a Fractal AX8 after debating months about do I or don't I. I own a Mark IV, Triaxis/2:90, and Electra dyne already, so I was on the fence if it could replace them. My wife sent me a picture of the box yesterday (Now what is THIS???), so I couldn't wait to get...

    Phoenix Guitar Tech?

Bronson is just south of Old Town Scottsdale. Check out his shops facebook and website. He has done numerous stars including Nils Lofgren (who is a Paradise Valley resident). I will be taking a couple of guitars there on Saturday

    Phoenix Guitar Tech?

Rich Beck... I took a PRS there for a set up and got it back with the D and G strings reversed. Even tuned to correct pitch. No kidding. Never again.

    Phoenix Guitar Tech?

I like Bronson Guitar in Scottsdale. They have always done a great job, and did a great refret on my PRS CE 24. Timely, and take the time to really listen and do things right.

How much do you make each year playing your guitar?

So after the sobering thread of how much you have into your gear and adding up what is in my gear room, I started to wonder how much do you guys actually make annually gigging, recording etc. I have a ton of nice gear, PRS, Boogie, Gibson, Fender, Musicman etc, however I gig exclusively now...

    PRS CE24's...

Love my older CEs. I have a 1993 CE 24 recently refretted, and a 1994 CE 22. Both GREAT guitars, and bought both for under $1k each. I haven't tried the new ones yet, however can't believe they are that much better than the older ones. Original pickups in both. Very different than my core...

    NCD! Marshall

I have the same speakers in my JCM 900 cabinet, and haven't found anything that sounds as good as them. I am embarrassed to admit that I prefer that cabinet and speaker combination better than the Mesa Thieles I have with the EVM 12L speakers. Soon to be posted...

    Mesa Triaxis

I have a Mesa Triaxis and 2:90, and have had it for 20+ years. Such a great combination, and has survived the ongoing gear carousel. Using it with a TC Electronic G Major, and two Mesa Thiele cabinets with EV EVM-12L speakers. Hard to beat, and so versitile. For the record, that same...

    Fret Tang ends sticking out...

No question a humidity issue. Here in Phoenix, I keep the humidity at 45-50% in the guitar room at all times. No issues with acoustics or electric, all on the wall.

Rack Rig Help (MultiFX & midi foot controller ?'s)

I have had one of these for years, and it does EVERYTHING! I have had it switching loops for piezo/magnetic pickups via midi, changing amp channels, multiple amps etc. Great piece of gear, however this one looks to be a little overpriced. I have seen for $50. (BTW, this is not mine)...

Any TC Electronic G System users? Thoughts?

I still have my red limited version, however am on the fence about keeping it. I use it 4CM with a Mesa Mark IV, and it does sound great and super versatile. It is easy to program, however I don't use it to nearly to its full potential as I don't use a lot of effects. For the record, I don't...
