There is a section of the song:

Between 4:05 and 4:24 that I cant wrap my head around.
Flanger?
Chorus?
Both with some sort of tremolo and compression?
Think you can help?
No worries. Different strokes and all.
To me, the first two tracks are killer. I love that riff in Jambi (and I love looking at all the Youtube "Tool" guys who ALL play it wrong...).
3 & 4 are basically one long slow song. I initially would skip those two songs and go right into The Pot, but...
I played with a guy for a while who would bring his blown-speaker'd 50 watt (solid state) Yamaha bass amp and his $200 bass that he got when he was in high school.
Once we started getting more serious, the whole band started upgrading their equipment. Not him. His rig was fine.
He isnt in...
I had a custom built Drop Top with a Floyd nut that was the same.
Its just the way it is, I think.
I too asked Tom about it after my guitar arrived and was told it was not overlooked when the guitar left the shop, its just the way it is...
I wish I still had that guitar sometimes, but my...
Well, I tell you what, kid can play.
I have been into QR since Rage for Order. At the time I was a beginning guitar player and the sounds on that disc were so "otherworldly" that I couldnt even begin to grasp what was going on.
I never spent a whole lot of time trying to learn DeGarmo's riff...
Quick Ryche derail...
I saw them a week and a half ago at the House of Blues.
Disclaimer: Chris DeGarmo WAS the band, for me.
To see Wilton take all of the leads was pretty sad.
They had a kid there playing DeGarmo's parts note-for-note. The only time dude got to take a solo was in the...
Man, I love you Tool dorks.
I traded in my pseudo-Adam rig (Herbert) for the AxeFx Ultra.
Granted, it looks no where near as cool as a half stack with a VH4 & Super Bass on top, but I've never gotten closer to the tone I need.
Dont have a Silverburst either... plain 'ol Standard will have...
I had an Artist for a number of years and ultimately let it go. I couldnt play the high gain stuff with it (feedback issues).
I still love Hamer's quality and would sure love one of their Explorer styled fiddles one of these days. Top notch guitars, those.
80% of my stuff is at my rehearsal spot.
The other 20% is in my man cave (read: upstairs game room). With the pool table up there it wouldnt layout like you guys music rooms even if I had it all up there...
I dig the size/look of JB's room. Very classy. I think you need a plasma over the...
All three of those guitars are a shorter scale length than a Strat-style guitar, so you might have a preference.
I have a Paul and a PRS SC245.
The Paul sounds better, but the PRS is superior in every other way (lighter too).
Tool uses LP's.
Porcupine Tree uses PRS Customs.
Best I can tell...
