I looked at The Other Josh Browne's video. They don't look too bad to work on. The opto couplers for the channel switching are the major pain. He mentioned the ones he used that worked. Also, the electrolytic caps would all need to be changed by now if they haven't already been taken care...

The only ones I ever had were the original Powerball heads. You could play them at home with no problems. As soon as you gave them some volume, the feedback made the amps unusable when trying to play in the context of a band. I think they added the Gate on the second version.
