New 100W Bogner Ecstasy for 2025?

I have the Telos head which I play through an oversized Bogner 2x12 with ASW Crossroads (old Greenback copies). It has a boost mode which is good but I understand the JB45 has perfected. But it does that ONE thing, a Bognerized version of the Dirty Shirley perfectly.

The XTC 50w really is an optimized XTC. Loop is perfected. It has the 100B preamp. Somehow the filtering/NFB values are perfected for the 50w platform so it does not feel “small” whatsoever. It DOES (like the 100B) need some volume. The master is much better than the 100B but the lower gain (than the 101B) necessitates involving a tad of power amp compression.

If you were turned off by the 3534 but want a smaller more portable form factor that is a bit more rewarding for the expert player it is a fantastic platform.

My 100B is sonic bliss from an earlier era. I’ll probably never get to play it out unless I get asked to play an immense venue with no decibel limits on stage (unlikely). I am taking it to my amp tech this week for a thorough overhaul.

I will keep you guys posted on that, though he is slow in a genius mad scientist way and that’s fine with me.

Talking about the ecstacy... i have an older XTC 101B with the often talked about mercury transformer whom i bought it off from a known member here....

Am a shred metal old school kinda person and i lately been hit by the 20th anniversary XTC 101B and having searching on some tone sample it seems the 20th has gotten off from the dark mid kinda zone to brighter, tighter but not sure how much lowend it got to compares with the older 101B....

I also heard the blue channel has way lesser gain than the newer 101B ?

Not sure if the 20th will be my go to XTC but because i currently own quite number of amps and didnt wanna really gamble out on something like i did before with my Diezel experience and bogner Twin jet....

Will it be a perfect amp for me if i like my current 101b being compressed easy and fun to play, i would wish the current 101B i have has more lowend and being tighter ... and just like my XTC being so old school natural sounding sweet kinda amp !

Musette has mentioned that they should be receiving the new XTCs next month. They also linked an older facebook video that I hadn't seen before. I saw a "Volume 4" knob so maybe 4 channels? The announcement has to be any day now.

Maybe they’re not hurting though? It might be for what size they want to be or can manage to maintain, their reputation and product have been enough. Not defending it, in that it annoys me too but it’s literally been years that they haven't had a working site. It can’t possibly matter to them.
Ya he could me more busy now then even he wants

That's a Pandora. Basically a modded XTC with a bunch of voicing switches on the back for like 101B, 100, Classic options and a single Presence / Depth knob network with frequency selector switches as opposed to two switchable Presence networks with depth or "excursion" switches like on previous Ecstasies.

Reinhold was doing these as custom one-offs for a while, might still be doing them. But I'm not totally sure this is what the updated Ecstasy is going to be.

Also there is no "Volume 4" knob on that Pandora.

I have a friend who's an expert of "all things Bogner" this is what he said,

*Hi Mike

That is a Pandora. I had one for a year and that is what it looked like. There is not a new version of the pandora. The thread over at rig talk regarding the new model with a volume 4, came from a video that Raffaele Moiera posted of a prototype of an amp Reinhold was playing with about 6 months ago. That is totally unrelated to the pandora.

hope all is well!

If there were anything to know, Steve would know about it. He knows Reinhold very well. He's a Super OG! I bought a Herbert from him back in the day. He is as good as they come.

Just to highlight a detail in this post, he said "there is not a new version of the Pandora."

He didn't say anything about whether or not there is another version of the Ecstasy on the way.
