I dig the red T! You guys are a tough crowd.
One little suggestion- I think it'd tie the whole look in nicely if the little headstock shelf was either body color (red in the case of the red T) or pick guard color (white for the black guitar). Then make the logo chrome like the hardware.
Thanks for saying, and here's a quote/explanation from John Suhr re:price difference on the new standard version of the head:
"Due to RoHS regulations some elements needed to be changed in the design of the switching and logic. We need RoHS to be compliant with regulations in Europe. Since a...
Heya Rig Talkers, was fun meeting some of you while walking around NAMM yesterday! Friday was super busy, the most crowded I can remember a NAMM show being.
Proud to say that Suhr has released the PT100SE amp, it's a standard production model now it's available and shipping to dealers now, we...
Damned if you do, damned if you don't I guess. That guitar looks great IMHO and largely because it has the accurate Danelectro headstock. Totally cool.
Thanks for the cool, measured reply. And for the kind words. I do think you make good points!
IMHO the best case scenario would be for Gibson to do what Fender did, do a master built run(s). Hire Bartlett, Yaron, etc and let them have at it. Now that'd be cool.
Thats so weird, is that like, they draw a line on the guitar where the wear is supposed to be, before it's painted then go in and age it, and you are left with some black mark like that?
That's bullshit- for this reason
The Yaron is a phenomenal guitar, that while is TECHNICALLY infringing on Gibson's trademarked body shape, is not ever going to be mistaken or passed off for a Gibson- because it doesn't have the same headstock and logo as a Gibson. It is a replica for all the...
Ya the Goldsmith is more amp-like overdrive, kinda Marshall-ish (think Bogner Blue) and this one is higher gain, sharper edge/full range (like the tone of a 5150 or something?).
Hey guys, I just god some vid to post from one of our Budokan gigs last week, so you can get an idea what I'm doing over here, ha. Having a blast! These shows are so crazy high energy, I change my shirt 3 times a night and Im pretty sure I've lost weight just from the gigs. :) The audio is just...
Thanks, this place is full of good guys, I like it and it's generally a good hang I think :) it's odd when people get so worked up and whatnot over gear, especially when it's all GOOD gear we are generally discussing, high quality stuff across the board. I guess when someone tries to say my 1st...
