Been playing for awhile and HATE the idea of playing boxes and scales . . . What recommendations do you have for sprinkling new and different modes and scales into your playing? I just tend to get stuck playing up and down a scale. Frustrating.
Great information from Splawn experts. I always though the QR was the way to go because it had the most options, but I’m not sure I need 100w. I steered clear of the Comp because they seemed too “basic” . . . But simple is good a lot of the time.
I have a Diezel VH4 that I absolutely love but recognize it’s a little “hi fi” sounding at times. I’m considering a lower wattage head and the Bogner 3534 popped up on my radar. I’d like to have something a little more open and raw. Any thoughts? Both have loads of bass (so I’ve heard about the...
have always heard about Bankers, wanted to try one. there's a local Leslie DC Custom, an earlier build that i'm interested in. on the website, they run about $2600 for a new one with a Mahogany body before any options are selected. the one I'm looking at is Korina, looks to be in Very...
Really appreciate all the input on this chaps. I've sourced another one with better pics. 1983 2203, all original supposedly. Please see the pics. Only one of the trannies has a date that you can read anymore per the seller. Thoughts?
It’s been a struggle to even get those pics. I don’t think the seller knows everything that’s been done but getting info is like pulling teeth. So I’m not sure if it’s an ‘87 that he thinks is an ‘84 or an ‘84 that’s been worked on. Do those look like original trannies?
I'm no Marshall expert, but this is supposed to be an '84. I'm assuming the ink stamps on the trannies are the dates . . . if so I think I see '87 and '88 peeking out, which would mean trannies had been replaced?
Thanks folks. Sorry for the rookie question. Awaiting pics from seller . . . have been told that caps and tubes have been replaced. That's all I know so far.
Hello all, I have a possible line on a minty 1984 JCM800 2204. It's supposedly been serviced every other year and has had new caps. No mods. What are the things I need to look for to make sure it's as valuable as asking price, retains value, and sounds the way a Marshall should? I'm a newb to...
