Not everyone can handle all the options of the VHX. Takes a certain type of mind: Deep Dive type. Some folks just need 1-2 simple channels.
I personally need 40 different options of Diezel tone, and I love Deep Diving tech, so the VHX is perfect for me.
Also, I like that the guy in the video...
This is an absolutely brilliant design: that something this progressive design-wise, is totally serviceable down to every component!
That means an amp that can last a really long time...maybe a lifetime.
This amp just keeps getting better and better!
I've finally been able to really listen to this album, and I really like You Must Burn!!
Perfect meld of the Black Album and Load, and James' vocals are excellent on the whole album.
Lux Eterna, Too Far Gone, Room of Mirrors, Shadows Follow, Chasing Light, I'm liking it all so far,
and I've...
You will love the VHX, John. It nails all the Diezel tones.
I love my VHX.
In fact, I'm using the Own Hammer Diezel Cab IR G12K100 + V30 in my VHX,
and I'm using your JS M+ IR.
It's excellent, man!!! Sounds Amazing! Nice job!!
For my studio: Green light bulbs, Orange light bulbs, and Red Light bulbs....no Blue...Blue=depression.
Then some multicolored rope lights along the top of both side walls.
And Dimmer-switch lighting for regular white light, so you can slowly bring it up.
You can always try the Built-In Attenuator on the Preset Manager Page.
The Master Volume Control lowers the output by a full -20db (-10). Still sounds full like a tube amp should,
but low enough to play at home
Love the sound of KT77s in my VH4.
I tried 6l6GCs in it, but ended up liking the KT77s better.
It has been said that the KT77 is a middle ground between 6L6 and El34.
Also, some say Gold Pin are smoother. Haven't tried them yet.
You could modify the RL cab, and take out two V30s, and replace them with K100s in an x-pattern.
I'll buy your two V30s, if they are 16 ohm.
But if you want the same exact sound, sell your RL cab and buy another FL cab with K100s
I switched to Ibanez RGD 26.5" scale neck guitars in 2012. (Ibanez RGD2120Z)
I play in D Standard tuning and nothing holds that tuning better than 26.5"
Took a little bit to get used to it, your hand stretches just a bit more.
I also have an Ibanez 7 string that is 26.5".
I've sold all my 25.5"...
Depends on the tone you want from the guitars.
IF you want a more modern sound, leave them in (I love EMG81-x's in my guitars to get my modern tone)
But if you're looking to mix it up, and get a different tone from these guitars, then switch them.
Could be fun finding the right ones
